Stone Center for the Arts Project 01

Main Level Remodel and Change of Use 589 Venice Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90064

sample elevation

The materials and colors chosen for the project were carfeully selected taking into consideration heavy traffic areas, mood, and overall user experience. In the Center for the Arts, the Art takes front stage and the building takes back of stage. Although the colors are strong they are subdued and play a beautiful harmony with the foreground.

sample section and exterior perspectives

Venice will always have a growing industry in the arts, I propose to rehabilitate this loft space. To transform it into a hybrid full of life, a Centre for the Arts. Including spacious workshops, showrooms, selling points, a concert hall, and meeting rooms. It will also be combined with artist’s residences that have competitive entry requirements. A central station intended for people and cultural interchange, with the purpose to liven up the area. it will be an experience within itself.

A commonly accepted space and/or function is re-examined for the constantly changing world. while critiquing the notions of working, eating out, shopping, etc. New spatial relationships, uses, and functions are combined to adjust to the way in which we live and work today; all the while establishing guidelines and allowing flexibility for the future.

The Olive Branch Project 02

New Construction: Mixed-Use Sacramento, CA 95814

The entire space has been divided into three zones. Zone 1 serves as client lounge, conference room, drakroom, offices and workspaces. Zone 2 is communal entertainment space. Zone 3 serves as the rest space. the existing structure and envelope of the building has been altered to suit the design but the overall footprint remains the same. the front facade has two seperate entries for client and emloyees. The center large scale fixed door is decorative; its only a minor aid to the grand scale structure.

Remodel and Change of Use 5125 Western Ave Los Angeles, CA 90062

three steps: strategic planning, conceptual design, and visualization (detailed plans, sketches, or drawings)

conceptualization and visualization going hand in hand. The design process begins with the ability to think, create, develop, and communicate ideas on the conceptual level. employing the basics of designing, knowledge of color, light, fabrics, etc. to formulate the idea.
