Dear Friends and Partners Since November, 2012 I am in charge of the organization Institute of Democratic Changes-IDC. Considering that I am a co-founder of IDC I realized all my responsibility and it wasn’t a challenge for me to become a head of the organization. During this period there were many positive and negative facts happening, but I am really happy when I look back and remind the past years. You can consider me selfish but I am really proud of myself and my team, with whom together we managed to be more successful in youth work. For us being successful means implementation of different type of projects, being involved in international and local activities, having amazing environment at the office, no conflicts among team members and etc. Since establishment IDC is working based on core values of human rights, rule of law and democracy. For next two years main field of working we defined youth media development, volunteering, youth policy and youth participation on international and local level. IDC is planning to implement international and local activities for young people to support and raise youngsters’ awareness and give them opportunity for developing personal and professional skills. As in 2011 in frame of the project youth express IDC created the platform youthexpress.ge, we still try to keep it active and give opportunity to the new volunteers to express themselves through the platform. Besides that in 2013 IDC began the project Demagog.ge in partnership with Slovak Governance Institute and Visegrad Foundation. Demagog.ge is a web portal through which we are trying to give to society objective information about politicians and politics; it means that young people are checking political facts said by politicians. Except this we implemented several international and local projects. IDC is represented in Youth Peace Ambassadors network and it is hoping to become a member of European Youth Press from Georgia soon. We are working to support and to promote democracy, freedom of expression, human rights, peace and we believe in changes which our generation can do in today’s processes.
