ABOUT

The process of seeking something new intrigues me immensly: the feeling of tasting new knoweledge, a new culture, working with people, participating to international events. To develop my own design language I find inspiration outside the boundaries of architecture. Each work is a result of thinking process through different mediums, such as: art, music and technology. Experimental, adventurous, enthusiast are characteristics which define me together with my professional qualities as a hardworking, profesional team-player.

SCENE SCENARIO School in Amsterdam

Paradgm Palladio theatre

Msc project 2 TU/Eindhoven 2016 Studio “School with Scenario” Collaboration Niels Vernooij Tutors Mark Hemel; Barbara Kuijt The presented project is the design and vision of a school, a design according to the philosophy concerning free and classical school. The design is manifested after taking into account all the meaningful interventions focused on both school philosophies. This project believes in the value of the classical school, but creates a stage for the individual’s self-expressive behavior. By constructing the school as a stage it offers constant change between observer, in the theatre, and user, in school. The theatre becomes a place to observe school as a scene where wings with different activities gather. The design takes the context in account. The plot of the school is situated in an area which is famous because of his former shipyards, local shops and existing neighborhoods are close by. right above: concept scheme right below: physical model 22

SAFE AND HEALTHY CONFECTION WORKSHOP IN GHANA

Building Design & Technology Certificate project TU/Eindhoven 2016 Collaboration Nina Claus, Marijn Landman, Glen Pennings Tutors Haiyo Schilperoort; Kristel Hermans The aim of this project is to research and design a safe and a healthy 10-20 person workshop in Accra, the capital of Ghana. The chosen approach is to create a concept with options, modules and parameters. The project aims to set a challenging standard and create an inspiring example to trigger further steps of development in the local Ghanese garment industry and the local construction sector. Building concept is to create clear division between working and relax area. For easy deliverance of goods, in case of one production line, this one should be on the ground urban plot the building is divided into two levels. Architecture of the building is clear and simple and at the same time creating specious atmosphere with several characteristic elements: brick walls, shutters and space-frame roof. right: phisical model section (credits: group) 28

ACOUSTIC LANSDCAPE

paradigm: reversed mountain

Msc project 1 TU/Eindhoven 2014 Studio The Ear, The Building: Sonic Spaces Tutors Dr. J.C.T. Voorthuis, ir. C.C.J.M. Hak Acoustic Landscape is a project for an experimental concert hall. Main inspiration for the project is Georgian Polyphonic music, which was mostly performed in the fields while working. By singing people were starting kind of musical dialogue with each other. Each person was entering this dialogue with his own independent part from different location in the open field, surrounded by mountains. As a concert hall, this project created an acoustic landscape, where musicians and people will no longer have a classical relationship order (stage & audience) but they will be scattered around the whole concert hall. Each person can choose his/her place and way of sitting for a different acoustical experience. Project considers a landscape, in this case a mountain as a visual paradigm (from that places, where people were singing) and places it in a heavily urbanized a city centre. right: exploaded axonometry 32

SCULPTURE COMPOSITION

Program Public space Location Akhaltsikhe, Georgia 2012 Status Winning proposal Competition Sculptural composition of Rabati Fortress Client Akhaltsikhe Municipality Collaboration Eka Malutashvili & Beka Khutsishvili Sculpture composition as a continuous shot has a variety of interpretations with the alteration of angel of view. The main goal was to create not just a still sculpture, but a space in space, which makes human, existing old architecture and nature part of this modern space. Sculpture becomes both: montage instrument and the object itself. In 16x4 m concrete basement there is fixed 125x125 mm module net of metal capsules, in which 3.5 m high fiberglass tubes are screwed. These fiberglass tubes are mobile and various compositions can be made. It can transform into the space for performance, mediation, rest or just for wondering inside.

The aim of the project is to recreate historical architecture and to save the masterpieces of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity, typical for mountains in Khevsureti region in Georgia. Arabuli Art House will be a place for cultural activities, artists and workshops of historical handcrafts. As a main concept we decided to save ruins of the old house and add a new layer of time. The new layer recreates the historical shape of the house with completely new materials contrasting and at the same time raising significance of old traces.

Role Concept development, urban research, 3d design Software Sketchup, Autocad, 3ds max

The aim of the project is to recreate multifamily housing within single family housing district. Concept of the project is based on the module of a single unit, creating terraces by shifting on top of each other, recreating the idea of house with a frontyard. By shifting units along the diagonal of the plot, courtyeards are created and at the same time giving an original architectonic expression to the architecture of the housing.

Role Revit modeling, specifications, shedules and detail drawings. Software Revit, Autocad

"Business House" is a completely new vision of state and business cooperation, which involves the development of both physical and digital space where business sector representatives will be able to get services in one area. Accordingly, the spaces were created by types of services, as well as additional spaces for various commercial services and spaces for restaurants. Project Building is a modern innovative energy efficient building (this will be the first building of a "Green Building" with a Silver Certificate in Georgia.) The design of the building allows for people with disabilities - visitors or staff to move freely without any difficulties. Most part of the building has natural lighting. In addition, visitors can also use open space around the building or on the roof.

Role Sketch design 2d,3d revising urban development plan, material/colour choice Software Revit, Autocad

Rietland is the 3rd part of the new Broekhorn residential area, between Heerhugowaard and Broek op Langedijk. The houses are situated on spacious plots, adjacent to an eco zone, a beautiful puddle landscape with reeds and water plants. Rietland is divided into 18 neighborhoods, of which one of them is our project area. This neighborhood consists of 30 single-family houses, including row, detached, senior detached and senior semi-detached houses. Within the urban development plan the neighborhood has the role of the orientation point within Rietland. Under supervision of the main architect, my role was to develop the concept of the neighborhood from of its initial directives. The design process involved continuous development of facades floor-plans and masterplan at a time. The diversity of the program, the dimensions and the building heights, made it possible to develop houses into minimalistic sculptural forms, creating naive image of houses within a rich landscape. Compatible colors of roof tiles and brickwork enhance its sculptural qualities. Work is still ongoing, therefore presented materials are the initial right: arial views

Role Sketch design, design development 2D,3D material/colour choice Software Sketchup, Autocad

Historical background of the area, formed as a ‘Zaanse mix’, has determined the design and identity of Oostzijderpark. Right next to the large-scale apartment buildings, ground-level homes are being realized. The 20-story residential tower will serve as a new urban landmark. The project area is divided into 5 urban blocks. Each of them consist of apartment buildings and row houses, forming inner courtyard. Each apartment block has its own architectural design and size. Architecturally, unity in diversity is a defining characteristic of Oostzijderpark. I have participated in developing diverse floor-plan typologies together with their characteristic facade design for each part of the project, although my responsibility has been to design singlefamily houses which form several large streets. My challenge was to ensure that composition of the street doesn’t become monotonous and yet to minimize the quantity of the typologies. Design process resulted into forming one

Role Sketch design, design development 2d,3d material/colour choice Programs Revit, Autocad

Neck-Zuid is located on the edge of the village Neck, adjoining the polders of Wijdewormer. A new neighborhood takes shape of a rectangular structure fitting in the typical landscape of the polder: the houses, sports fields and green structure are part of the strict straight-line system. The development consists of detached, semi-detached and row single-family houses. This project is my first experience at Just Architects. As a startpoint I received the urban development plan and estimated floor-plans. Together with the project architect, I developed the concept for the facades, shaping its form together with the initial directives. During the design process I had to meet the tight costplan that influenced the initial design of the project in its essence. It has been an interesting study process how to design a lively neighborhood with limited sources. Architectonic-wise my task has been to create a rural living atmosphere by using similar and repetitive elements. To activate the monotonous lineal structure of the street, two characteristic elements has been introduced: white thick windows on the first floor and corner accents on the ground floor. Materialization corresponds to the calm, rural feel: brown shades of brickwork and light grey window frames blend with the agricultural land, while light brick- and white frame accents give it a modern twist.
