The Mays Center for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement develops career-minded, skillful graduates ready for the world of work, prepared to be active citizens in the community.
In today’s competitive global market, it takes more than a degree to stand out. That’s why the Mays Center exists. It allows students the avenues to gain experience in their discipline, paired with focused reflection, in order to be career-ready.
Experiential learning is grounded in the philosophy that students learn best by doing. The Mays Center provides avenues for students to gain experience such as: community service, service-learning, internships and civic engagement.
