Highlights of the Week Useful tips for taking finals online

Before the Exam 1.

Understand test guidelines. I.e. what is the time limit? What can and cannot be used?

2. Know the format of the exam. I.e. which platform is the exam located on? Is it multiple choice, fill in the blank, essay, or a mixed format? 3. Study class materials in advance of the test. The more time you spend studying, the more information you are likely to retain. 4. Find a quiet testing spot with minimal distractions. It is important to be able to focus and devote uninterrupted time to the exam. 5. Gather all materials. Ensure that you have everything that you need to be prepared for the exam.

During the Exam 6. Check the clock. Know what your time constraints are and how you are pacing yourself to finish on time. 7. Do not leave the test page. This may remove you from the test and treat it as submitted when you were not done.

8. Double-check work before submitting. Check for errors. Once you have submitted, there is no changing or going back. 9. Click submit when you are done

After the Exam 10. Print or keep a copy of answers if needed. In case there are any issues or disputes, keep a record of you submission.
