01 CATALYST OF ART & NATURE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART Year Category Subject Location
: 2015 : Museum : Final Studio : Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta is a very unique city compared to other cities in Indonesia. This city is also known as the center of contemporary art in Indonesia compared to the big cities that are in Indonesia, such as Jakarta and Bandung, according to Tomoko Hayashi, an art researcher at Osaka City University. Sadly, in this yogyakarta city does not have a contemporary art museum space that exudes the spirit of contemporary art itself. “Catalyst Of Art & Nature symbolizes the form of responses to the context of the cultural aspect of Javanese society oriented towards the harmony of nature and vpresent to accommodate the artworks of the ages that belong to the category of contemporary art. This museum presents 3 main functions, which is appreciation, education, and recreation. In addition to displaying artwork, Appreciation is presented with a form of museum mass composition that looks more dynamic than the surrounding buildings. Education is presented with the arrangement of works of art that are classified based on the time on each floor, where this will create a story of its own reflection. While recreation is created from the museum itself, and some communal spaces. The concept of building is made based on the principles of contemporary architecture, in order to walk in harmony with the contents of this museum. The principles taken and developed are the contemporary architectural principles of the experts, that is Schirmbeck and Louis Kahn. The principles are analyzed and dissected so as to produce 7 principles of reference, namely solid buildings, dynamic expressive compositions, and inner harmonization of space, transparency, intrinsic comfort, material harmony, and natural airing.

02 THE EARTHKEEPER
MIX USED MALL & APARTMENT Year Category Subject Location
: 2014 : Commercial : Fifth Studio : BSD City I Tangerang
The word “The EarthKeeper itself arises because of the current natural conditions (especially in Indonesia) that are getting increasingly damaged. The case to be emphasized here is the destruction of forests that are getting worse. This situation is sadly not understood and accepted by most people. In response, the design of the building is made, as much as possible to reduce the use of energy, while minimizing the pavement land that can not grow vegetation by applying the concept of ecology and energy-saving concept. The density of modern day activities of modern people as well as the continuous development of technological era that makes people become who has a practical and instant mental, making social community that formed less achieved. Humans gradually become human individuals who also do not care about the current environment. For that building design called The EarthKeeper is expected to be a place of interaction with the main function of social dwelling, commercial and entertainment and culture. The Earthkeeper invites us to be responsive to the surrounding environment and make human beings fully socialv

04 SALVATION FOR THE ISLAND OF GOD Unexposed Waste & Slump Problems in Bali Island, Indonesia Year Competition Category Location Status Design Team
: 2017 : Dencity : Urban : Bali I Indonesia : Entry : Jonathan, Mona, Mujahid, Charist
Bali is a province of Indonesia which is located between the islands of Java and Lombok island, thisisland is also commonly referred to as The Island Of God. Behind the beauty of the island of Bali, there is a big problem that is not exposed and not resolved, namely the problem of waste and slums around the Suwung Landfill that continues to grow and endanger the ecosystem. The sample taken is the city of Denpasar where is the center of the island of Bali with the largest settlement and garbage production. Judging from the map data below which shows the uneven distribution of garbage containers and tps so it is very burdensome Suwung landfill. Suwung Landfill receive 1500 ton of waste everyday and additional 300 ton of waste eveyday from outside its operastional area. These waste usually are not sorted based material. Waste management in most areas of Indonesia still use open dumping system without exception in Bali. Open dumping is a method which any solid wastes are gathered and piled up on the available area. Waste pile in Suwung landfill can reach approximate 10 meters and looks like a hill of waste. The existence of waste shelters and waste containers in some areas are not very useful as there is no waste treatment there and it just a place where household waste gathered before carried by waste truck to Suwung landfill.

Mezzo intervention that involving bigger participant, such as communities and organizations in the environment.Existing temporary waste shelters need improvement in terms of function and management. It will be a facility with wide range of functions, such as, sorting facility, workshop, composting facility, and a living quarter for the workers. The workers itself are people from the slum area around vicinity of Suwung Landfill.
Waste management is not only the responsibility of government. It is needed the participatory attitude from the people so it can be solved on every level of society. Circular process is one way that can make all those part of society work. While government works to improve the society, the society at the same time will improve the government by voluntary actions too. So, it is by people, for people, and from people.

05 NINGALI BROMO RESTO Local Restaurant in Bromo Year Competition Category Location Status Design Team
: 2017 : Propan : Restaurant : Bromo I Indonesia : Entry : Jonathan, Mujahid
In an increasingly modern era, a lot of outside influences entering the population in the area of Mount Bromo, not least the influence on the design of the building. The original building of the Tengger tribe was already very difficult to find in its own birthplace, whereas the building has a characteristic and a good philosophy that is also able to attract tourists to visit. The concept of the form to be focused is to bring back the original form of the traditional Tengger Bromo building, which is difficult to find. The emphasis of design, especially on the roof that maintains its originality with the use of local materials and building structures that are easily built by the local people. The new design that adapts the traditional Tengger Tribe house form is expected to influence the local architectural psychology of the traditional design of tengger own tribe, so that later will arise new buildings that try to present with transformation of Tengger Tribe house form.
