Learning at Tanglin – inside the classroom
A Commitment to High Standards
Whilst Tanglin’s academic traditions and approach to teaching are firmly grounded in an enhanced and rigorous English National Curriculum, there are many aspects of school life that have a global focus which is contextualised to the school’s location in South East Asia. Tanglin is unique amongst international schools in Singapore in offering both A Levels and the International Baccalaureate in Sixth Form, both of which yield consistently outstanding academic results to complement the school’s excellent results at I/GCSE.
Tanglin is inspected every year within the British Schools Overseas (BSO) framework, recognised by Ofsted. All three schools have been awarded ‘Outstanding’, the highest possible grade, in their latest inspections (2013, 2014 and 2015).
Learning at Tanglin – outside the classroom In addition to its outstanding academic performance, Tanglin offers an extensive range of sporting, musical, creative and recreational co-curricular activities. Tanglin students are also encouraged to contribute actively to the local community, support service projects and participate in a wide variety of extra curricular pursuits. Pastoral care is a key strength of the school and, along with high standards and achievement, this has been consistently recognised in recent school inspections.
