On an enchanted Christmas Eve, under the heavy boughs of the candlelit tree Clara battles with the Mouse King and falls in love with a handsome stranger. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland returns for six exciting weeks of winter festivities and admission is free. The main attractions that will be making a welcome return to London's most popular and dazzling winter event are: The Magical Ice Kingdom, The Giant Observation Wheel, The Ice Rink and Santa Land.

During this era the town and palace were particularly associated with Elizabeth I. During the 18th century Richmond Bridge was completed and many Georgian terraces were built, particularly around Richmond Green and on Richmond Hill.

Transport over Christmas ★On Christmas Eve (December 24th), there is a Saturday service on London Transport but services will finish earlier than usual*. There will be no night buses. ★On Christmas Day (December 25th ), there is NO public transport. London black taxis charge three times the meter price! ★On Boxing Day (December 26th), there will be a Sunday service on London Transport. There may be an Underground strike*. There will be NO National Rail. ★On New Year’s Eve (December 31st), from 11.45pm all London Transport will be FREE until 4.30am on New Year’s Day. ★On New Year’s Day (January 1st), there will be a Saturday service on buses and a reduced Underground service*.
