Although Hampstead is not far from the centre of London, it feels a bit like a country village. For this reason many celebrities have chosen to buy a house here. Our teacher, Karen, will show you some great places and tell you the stories behind them.
The Globe is a great place to see a Shakespeare play. It is modelled on an open air play-house which was on this site in the 16th Century and Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays with lots of murder and intrigue!
This unusual gallery is in Somerset House on the banks of The Thames and has famous masterpieces by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Cezanne and many others! In this Van Gogh work we can see part of a self-portrait painted after he cut his ear off.!
