Although Hampstead is not far from the centre of London, it feels a bit like a country village. For this reason many celebrities have chosen to buy a house here. Our teacher, Karen, will show you some great places and tell you the stories behind them.
One of the truly great historic houses of England, Hampton Court was the home of Kings for 300 years. Set in a beautiful garden, with a world-famous maze, this palace offers a glimpse into the life of royalty in the 16th and 17th centuries. An absolute must.
Many visitors from overseas still imagine that we are a nation where 'at half past three, everything stops for tea’. These days Afternoon Tea is usually only an occasional luxury for the British. Luckily tourists are still able to indulge in a little bit of British tradition for themselves.
A unique opportunity to experience both traditional and modern Japanese culture. Treat yourself to some fantastic food, and indulge in a little retail therapy while learning more about this fascinating country.
Every summer between July and September, the Proms are held at The Royal Albert Hall. They are a series of classical concerts featuring different conductors, orchestras and soloists playing music written by various composers.
