Friday 1st November

William Thacker (Hugh Grant) lives a rather normal, uneventful life as a travel book shop owner in Notting Hill, London. One day, that all changes when the most famous actress in the world, Anna Scott (Julia Roberts), enters the store "undercover" to check out the store... Then on our Monday Walk visit some of the places seen in the film!

London has been the setting - and often the star - of films for over 100 years. The new London Film Museum in Covent Garden provides an outstanding location, displaying highlights of London’s screen history, and its vibrant present.

This superb permanent exhibition features a retrospective look at British music. BME was created to fill a gap in the UK Heritage sector for Rock and Pop Music. It contains musical artefacts and interactive experiences using digital technologies.

This big, metal plate is called a thali in India and is one of our favourite things to have at Masala Zone Restaurant. It contains one bowl of meat, fish or vegetable curry with 2 different vegetable dishes, a pulse dish, rice, a poppadom and some chutney.

Although Hampstead is not far from the centre of London, it feels a bit like a country village. For this reason many celebrities have chosen to buy a house here. Our teacher, Karen, will show you some great places and tell you the stories behind them.
