come to the table Mezzanine
Banco. In its oldest form the word meant “table”. Team O+A sees a link between the ancient origins of this word and the very modern atelier space Intercorp envisions for its 19th & 20th floors. As Intercorp sets the table for a new generation of priosperity and growth, the values of the table become sound business values. All of us come to the table to break bread, to strengthen family and community, to converse and exchange ideas. We come to share the warmth of our humanity. at the table host and guest are interchangeable- everyone enjoys the same bounty, the same spirit.
Level 20
Intercorp’s 19th & 20th foors are well situated overlooking the bounty that is Lima to represent the culture of graciousness and reciprocity all Peruvians know. This spirit of giving and sharing what we make through our own efforts is one of society’s strongest bonds. It is also the root structure of business as we know it. When people come together at a table, at a “banco”, they do so as equals, partners and friends.

What I have tried to establish in this project by borrowing traditional Filipino culture like sari-sari stores, materiality of recycled finishes and textures, and color of landscape of Philippines to create a space that is dynamic and lively with many elements that are uniquely mobile and reconfigurable. The juxtaposition of sari-sari meets minimalist will inform the bar and food stall, the central hub that will draw visitors to the back of the space, encouraging interaction and engagement. VIEW D
