Help Your Child Through Effective Child Therapy Children are fragile. Like clay they can be moulded into different personalities. So how do you decide if your child requires child therapy or not? At every step their personalities are evolving and changing. As each day passes children learn something new within their social and cultural environment. Children are easily influenced by their parents, teachers, domestic help and other individuals they spend a lot of time with, often aping their behaviour. Child therapy comes along as a viable option for your child when you start noticing certain unwanted behaviour. This could either be, where your child is showing growing signs of anger and aggression and would mean that your child is expressing symptoms of being a bully. No child is born a bully yet some children may have the tendency to be more aggressive as they imbibe the atmosphere they grow up in. This is why it is important to be very careful of the kind of attitudes and values that your child is consuming. Children are heavily impacted by the content they consume, especially through various digital platforms. A lot of parents that are opting for behavioral therapy for children come in with aggressive children who have learnt a lot of their bad attitude from the television content they are consuming on a day to day basis. As the number of children that have access to mobile phones and ipads with unrestricted access to the internet, there is absolutely no control or supervision on the content these children are accessing. The purpose of behavioral therapy for children is to help them rectify, for a lifetime, habits they may have picked up that are not the kind of habits that you want your child to have. There are many ways that different therapists employ, in terms of dealing with children. These kinds of therapy include using art for expression, role-play to understand subliminal thoughts and messages that children may be too afraid to communicate any real troubles or it could even be talk therapy, where therapists will engage your child in conversation and try to get to the root cause of the problem. Child therapy requires the participation of the parent, ideally both but essentially at the least, one; the school teacher and the therapist. When you select a particular therapist, your child needs to be able to feel a sense of comfort with this person. This is the main premise on the basis of which any therapist can help their client. They need to be able to connect with the child in order to get anywhere. http://www.tanuchoksi.in/

With a few sessions in child therapy you may or may not be able to gauge the effectiveness of this entire process. The success or failure of these sessions depend on how accommodating parents and teachers are with the child, how receptive and willing the child is towards therapy and all of the methods that are being used. Initially it is a sense of trial and error where the therapist, without intimidating the child, tries different methods to get through to the child and make him or her feel safe. The child needs to believe for himself that they can trust the therapist to keep their sessions and talks confidential.
