1 THE CRESCENT

The crescent is a chair that personifies an embrace , with a unique edgy two component frame, and a warm cosy upholstery. Design Inpired by the comfort and bows that we see in crescent moon .

Ideation & Development

It has a rare oddity that blends with modern possessions but gives a classic vibe. The bows of the crescent exude furtuistic aesthetics with an inviting feel.

YINYAN

The MIG project gave us the freedom to design furniture of our choice . After a no. of sketches and ideation I came up with a design where i could hang my plants. The design was simple and minimal and hanging just two plants gave it more elegance

Ideation & Development

The vignette intends to satisfy the psychological human need to find oneself and be focused on what an individual desires in his or her life. It gives that one moment where one can go into the state of self realization and get disconnected from the demands of the society.

Cocoon Shell - Disconnecting from the outer chaos of life

While considering to design a pedestal lamp as a part of the collection of furniture, my thought process lead me to a point where I felt that light as an element place a very important role in setting up your mood in a situation. It illuminate a spot or an area and makes it brighter, It can make a space look large spacious and also fresh. Thus , the concept of having refreshing set of thoughts could be achieved by a source of light. It can also serve a purpose of reading light for the individual while keeping the rest of the space.

Why would an individual want to keep his coffee mug, his books, his mobile along with him when he is relaxing? A person prefers a surface to place his things and relax . Thus the center table serves the need of an individual to put his daily carried items on the surface and then relax`

We all know that having a green element in any kind of space gives it a life. Having a planter be it a table top, free standing or hanging, just the green element itself serves the purpose of making the space feel fresh . Its proven that a plant increases the oxygen levels in the surrounding area. Thus the idea of having a plant vase in the moment would benefit the individual in enjoying the moment with low stress levels .

MIG & TIG The final metals project was my exploration and experimentation with MIG and TIG welding. Merging metal and wood has always been my favourite part of designing furniture. This project also helped me learn the screwing together of wood and metal and a lot of knowledge about MIG welding.

TRI -TABLE

Designing this sidetable was just another idea which struck my mind . The challenge was to balance the table considering three support points. But that did not stop me from continuing with the design that I had in my mind with a little bit of twirks and modification and the final outcome made was succesful.

Project Brief Project Area : 750 Sq.ft. Location : Mumbai A 2 bhk freelance design project executed in Thane. The process involved furniture as well as interior design. A combination of light wood and few accents of bright yellow color gave it a vibrant yet subtle look. Coming with high end designs and budget constraints were a few conditions. Even though it was a challenge it wasnt impossible .

Project Brief Welcome Kit A new welcome kit was to be designed for the Godrej Industries. Designing the welcome kit for Godrej was a challenge in itself as it had to be elegant and at the same time useful for the client. The welcome kit was designed in a no. of options with even making a prototype of one of the designs to understand the touch and feel and the practical usage of the box.

CREST, GODREJ

t

Initial form and Design Development Godrej Crest was a project developed for the company’s newly designed locker system. The project was a welcome kit designed for the launch of the product, and was to be offered to one of the popular bollywood starts named ‘Amitabh Bachan. This project included dealing with the designers from the company itself, developing concept sketches, frequent meetings with the company’s team. It was an exciting opportunity to design a product , something which I had never done and hence I pushed my limits to get the best out of myself. The box was manufactured with acrylic material with careful study of the objects to be placed in the welcome kit. A mock up was first manufactured to understand the user’s comfort in carrying, storing and using the welcome kit. When designing the kit, the intentions were not just to place the objects inside the welcome kit, but also make sure that it becomes multi-purpose. A lot of problem soliving skills were involved in this project which made the delivery of this welcome kit successful.
