BLOCKS 6/7 With Solomon Cordwell Buenz
Blocks 6/7, located in the soma neighborhood on San Francisco, is comprised of a 32 story residential tower and 7 townhomes around a central courtyard, as well as two below market rate buildings. I created images/drawings and compiled presentation packages including code analysis, space planning and HVAC diagrams to present and discuss at client and city meetings.

I was given full responsibility to design the ornamental ceilings in the dining area. The wood construction is composed of varying profiles supported by three perpendicular beams whcih attatch to the structural ceiling. All wood parts are assembled by wood joinery techniques.
BOYLE HEIGHTS
CIVIC CENTER
Academic Project A new civic center for the diverse and dynamic community of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. The spliced design allows for public access across the site and divides the program accordingly. The interior splices remain transparent to create a visual connection between the program pieces. The remaining facades and roofs are wrapped in a CORTEN copper mesh which provides sun shading and privacy from the street in an oragami-like fashion simulating motion.
