{What is really pure anymore? In this day and age, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find something simple and true. It seems that more and more young minds are forever imprinted with the evils of technology and popular culture. With each generation comes a new adulterated compromise to strip purity from the previously less polluted culture of our society. The corruption of everything from education to the food we eat seems to be taking over the natural order of things. The simple joy of life is being lost. Even grocery shopping has become complicated. This issue is dedicated to fighting, or perhaps simply muting, that force. With summer advancing, let’s pledge to bring the natural, wholesome aspects of our culture back to the front of our minds. Simplify everything. Pure intuition. Pure rage. Pure sin. Pure joy.}

It is not very often a major high-fashion trend will make it to ready-to-wear fashion as quickly as the see-through trend has. After debuting on almost all of the Spring 11’ runways, the trend was re-done for brands ranging from H&M to BCBG Maxazria in a matter of weeks. This risqué style does not have to be worn in such an haute couture way. You can can play up this trend, and blend it in with your own style to wear it in a more every-day look. The great thing about working the see-through trend is that whether you’re an uptown fashionista or downtown gal you can buy see-through pieces everywhere from Bergdorfs to Urban Outfitters. Sandals by Deena & Ozzy, vintage tribal dress, boots by Forever 21, black dress by BCBG Maxazria.
“
For the see-through neon coral sandals, I wanted to play up the hot-pink rim of them by wearing it with a hot pink top. I downplayed all of the color from the outfit with basic white denim shorts, and I usually would also wear it with a hot-pink patent leather messenger bag I own to add some character. For the see-through tribal cut dress, I wore an extra long black tank top underneath it so that everything was nice and covered up....the only downside to the see-through trend. I wanted an edgier look for the outfit so I wore it with black wedge booties to give it more flair. My overall favorite outfit to take pictures in was this black BCBG dress because of all the slits that were so much fun to play around with in different poses. The see-through slits that run down the leg also fade from black to grey, so I did not want to overdo the outfit with anything else besides the wedge booties again.

We walk around let the corn grow And the ash we let it burn
Each step A wonder A toil of the urn
She spoke out darkness To lawyer’s shoes Shiny bottles Mothers’ cuckoo clock A whistle is heard
For nights, she left wandering To a meadow draped in blue Through sheer curtain and white bed sheets All the nakedness in blue
