Scholarships and Financial Aid: When you make a gift to the Annual Fund, you are contributing to IHA's scholarship and endowed financial aid. Last year, IHA awarded more than $1 million in scholarships and financial aid to students. We need your help to ensure that all students who are accepted to IHA are able to join our school community.
Twenty-first Century Learning: Twenty-first century learning offers the latest and greatest in technology in the classroom. Our students gain hands-on experience using the same applications and equipment professionals use in the digital arts fields, such as Photoshop and InDesign. IHA has also transitioned from textbooks to e-books, and from chalkboards to Smartboards. Our classrooms are equipped with multimedia that enhance our curriculum and students' learning experiences, thanks to money raised through the Annual Fund.
Program Enhancements Inside and Outside the Classroom: Our signature program offerings in academics, arts, service, and athletics continue to grow every year. The Annual Fund provides support to: • Service Learning: From our annual Mission@theheart trip to numerous Midnight Runs, our service learning is rooted in the heart of the Catholic tradition to help those in need. Last year alone, our students gave more than 40,000 hours of service. • STEM@theheart: IHA’s innovative and challenging STEM program prepares students for careers in engineering, computer programming, finance, and more. • State-of-the-Art Television Studio: Our students produce, edit, and report for heartTV, IHA’s news station. • Performing Arts: With continued collaboration with our brother schools, IHA’s Theater Arts program thrives with creativity. From set design to character development, students learn the tenets of both the visual and performing arts through each production. • Championship Athletics: Gifts to the Annual Fund have supported improvements to IHA’s athletics facilities including the fitness center, tennis courts, and turf field. The best facilities provide students with the space and equipment to train and play hard, fostering their talents to win several league, county, state sectional, and state championships in a variety of sports.
