Tara Vellara received her Master’s Degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute, New York in May 2020 and her Bachelors of Architecture from Dayananda Sagar School of Architecture, India in August 2018. Her transition from Architecture to Interior design arises from her interest to interact with the end user at a personal level as she believes that interiors can alter design radically due to it’s powerful ability to alter and affect an individual both, psychologically and physically. Through her practice and studies, Tara is working to understand the interdisciplinary nature of design, and how that can be used to positively impact the built environment

Mrs. Ali ya Residence Location - Concorde Napa Valley, Bangalore, India 2200 sqft residence nestled in the bustling lush greenery of India’s Garden City, Bangalore. Scope - Spatial Planing and Interior Design of all spaces drawing inspiration from the Victorian era.
DINING ROOM
Area - 168 sq-ft Indigo blue hues from the living room contrasted with olive green in the dining room making the space visually contrasted yet unifying. Staircase detailed out with Moroccan tiles on the risers and a Zen garden under bring serenity and positive vibes through the space Entrance partition uni es the Moroccan and Victorian theme in the space by the use of decorative lamps.
FOYER
FOYER: an entrance hall or other open area in a building used by the public, especially a hotel or theater. This public space within the private realm of residential design id designed exactly to do so with the use of a translucent partition which is an amalgamation of minimalist design with threads of inspiration from the Victorian era. Keeping space constraints in mind, the furniture is custom designed, seamlessly blending as one unit.

CLUSTER STRATEGY In the wake of a generation that wishes to lead a life devoid of being subservient to their profession and location; the concept of wanderlust and living in motion is gaining currency. The urban nomad stands at the pinnacle of this movement to whom the border between escape and exploration becomes a blur, and where unendurable frustration of the conventional workplace nally pushes from motion into action.

FORM DEVELOPMENT
An urban plug in which brings the communities of the surrounding areas together through the rigorous play of furniture orientations and material explorations. Being prototypical in nature, the furniture is also designed to be used in multiple ways serving multiple functions and accommodates 50 people.

A series of iterative steps, the evolution of a design from the concept through the model and drawings to the nal fabrication and construction phase. Exploring new technologies in design documentation and fabrication putting together a documentation set using BIM and exploring digital fabrication techniques.
