ACADEMIC WORK | THE INFINITY - SCHOOL OF FASHION

The design theme of this School of Fashion is Infinity. This theme is taken from the essence of the cycle of fashion that has a very big role for fashion world. Infinity used as the design theme because it reflects the essence of the cycle of fashion perfectly. Cycle of Fashion is a trend cycle of mode that is always growing and will never stop. This mode cycle becomes important because it determines the formation of a new mode that suits people’s needs and wants. This trend will always repeated without a definite amount of time, but eventually will come back with a anew and different taste. Therefore, the essence of the cycle of fashion reflected by infinity and taken into the design theme because it is a substance of the international fashion world. There are several factors that have an impact on the changing cycle of fashion.

BACKGROUND CONCEPT

BANDUNG EMERGING CREATIVE CITY Bandung

Bandung is developing to “Bandung Emerging Creative City” which marked the number of the emerging creative community. In terms of fashion, Bandung as a fashion city were enthusiastic which can be seen through the many fashion communities in high school and independent fashion community such as Passion for Fashion, Fashion.KoM, et cetera. Unfortunately there fashion communities have not raised fashion festivals or fashion week in the city of Bandung. In addition the city of Bandung does not have educational institutions that are devoted to support the existing potential of the city of Bandung. 19
