Benjamin Conttrell is a fashion show producer in Chicago who loves embracing the city and all of the interesting venues around town that will lend itself to creating a intresting fashion show. Describe yourself in three words? Innovative Caring and Daring. Whats your favorite place in Chicago to eat? Hands Down, RL Restaurant! Ive been going there since i was 20 years old, its a very special place. What inspired you to do frost fashion at the lake? i had the opportunity to work with the event coordinators and i thought wow what a way to start my spring fashion season on the largest boat in Chicago it was a lot of fun in a place that most people never seen.

How do you feel about the Chicago fashion scene? I think a lot of people have been trying to find themselves the last-few years i tend to see people trying to do to many things at the same time and it gets confusing when your trying to build a name for yourself. With that said, Chicago is a very supportive town If you had a choice of Blazer and jeans or a suite which one would choose and why? I love it because you can mix it up and create so many styles: chic , rock or classic Does Chicago have what it take’s to compete with cities like NewYork ,& L.A In todays fashio market? Yes

MEZTISOY ORGANIC FOOD MARKET

Article by: Deon Malik Divulge magazine

One

evening while out on the West side of Chicago's Pilsen Village, it was to my understanding Pilsen lacked in any markets that provided healthy alternatives in a marketplace. Alas to my own folly I was convinced otherwise when my friend took me to the corner of  W th St otherwise known as Meztisoy; an organic food market and restaurant. Originally called the Soy Organic Market, it reopened as the Meztisoy; a play on words for "Am Organic" in September of . As I walked inside I remember Sonia Yañez; (Co-Founder of Meztisoy) greeting me at their delicious fruit juicebar with a HUGE smile and a welcome which was the immediate factor that led me into coming as often as I do now. "A store… that's showing love?! Genuine love? AND they have healthy foods and a restaurant?" In a land where the conventional route for typical hispanic neighborhoods, is a taco joint, and a junk food market, where

a junk food market, where you could attain the same foods at a –. In a land where money st and an aggravated employee who would rather see you as a burden than anything else, I’d finally found a place not to far from what I called home… my heart. That is what I get every time I come and I always find myself having to adjust to the setting as it throws me off to get good service and GOOD food. Walking around the store looking in the aisles I was surprised even more so by the decor. You could tell everything about the store was pure rawness, with a high organic feel. The walls had a lush jade green with many, custom designs drawn from the family oriented staff. The main thing however was the ability to grasp latin culture without it feeling like it was «latin.» I found myself in many latin restaurants or markets where, you knew with no doubt

because of the mariachi music playing over the speakers, the all spanish speaking employees, and mainly the typical spanish style format of food ie; horchatas, tacos, burritos but no. "This place had a more welcoming feel without the "latin culture" forced upon me but rather inviting me with a more open minded perspective." Not only that it was all organic, and all authentic. What made my experience even more inviting was that I'd just so happen to have stumbled upon a local mic event that took place in Meztisoys open event space. Up there, one could throw networking events and functions on the nd floor. Ricardo aka «Rick» invited me to partake in the festivities above and instantly I felt a well rounded privately owned restaurant/market on the rise for Chicago natives and tourists. You don’t just receive a shopping experience, you don›t just receive a restaurant, but you receive both, as well as a chance to network on business with the store promoting your own business endeavors as well. This place had the whole shebang and I was bearing witness to it unfold. After the night was over I made it a point to return, to try

"This place had a more welcoming feel without the "latin culture"forced upon me but rather inviting me with a more open minded perspective." their wide array of food, the yummy vegan style tacos and soups which my next encounter was cooked up by Saul Maravilla; a very friendly cook. Showering my meal with love and attentiveness in detail of my food, I felt once more at home, which entail led me calling for the world to come and check out Meztisoy Food Market whenever you find downtime or food time in Chicago. Sonia Yañez stated on Pilsen portal "We live in  world… not  community. So a lot of the communities we want to bring here are… products of around the world. Especially in the latin-community"Well said as this is the feeling captured well upon walking inside the stores domain.

But it’s getting back to ‘who don’t like who.’ And it’s like senseless killings… over the smallest things. The Future Meets Myo Armband

Years ago one could have played Pierce Brosnan effortlessly in James Bond films, thanks to a little device that›s taken years of finagling with. Canadian company Thalmic Labs introduced a wearable gesture that has managed to have real time digital interaction in sync with human flesh. Yes your flesh. Why one may ask? The Myo; an electromyography (EMG) muscle sensor; the same technology used when you go visit the doc, or if you just so happen to go on a field trip to the very labs scientists record electrical activity from muscles. The Myo is made around 8 EMG muscle sensors, along an axis inertial measurement unit. Translation? 2000 lbs of awesome in getting forearm gesture sensing along with relative motion sensing. The EMG sensors are capable of reading the electrical potential produced in muscle cells, and wearing The Myo on your wrist allows the sensors to read the muscles that are attached to your fingers... before a single motion is even made. Which means it knows the finger position you create as well as the amount of strength put into the signal sent from your body. Co-Founder and CEO of Thalmic Labs; Stephen Lake and Matt Bailey had tinkered around with the idea since the beginning days of their studies @ University of Waterloo by making devices to suit the needs of blind people in helping them navigate with sensory technology. One could say they soon realized the very own destiny in understanding the «major gap» in wearable digital technology as there lacked a platform to do so fluidly and smoothly Lake expressed at a press release. «-Eventually we ended up with a hypothesis that we may be able to use EMG to accomplish this. A few months later we had an early prototype that proved our hypothesis» Originally shipped out back in december of 2013 (the «alpha» designs for developers) the company delayed Myo›s public launch because of longing to improve its design. Earlier in June Thalmic labs unveiled the final design of the MYO Armbrand. The new design uses a manufacturing process made to capture the electronics in rubber, giving it a more thin and sleek design that turned into a -1size fits all arm piece. By switching the sensor plates from copper to medical grade stainless steel they were able to improve the sensors productivity on the armband. In turn the new design followed up with sending out over 10,000 applications to join the Myo developer program. Thalmic Labs stated the developers kit will ship in July with consumer version slated for a September release both models set for $149, both available for pre-order. Many would-be consumers and skeptics are unsure how complex this interface will be with emerging technologies and how complex it can become with current computer systems but, Lake stated «Home automation is a pretty interesting niche within the developer community. Internally, we think about apps in categories for consumers, so we›re thinking about gaming and these sort of small & interactive devices around us. But we›re always trying to think about connecting these devices and letting us control them in real-time.» Prime example of this was the 1st runner up to go hand in hand with The Myo. The Ocular Rift virtual reality gaming headset provided built-in house support of the new technology. If you want to shoot an enemy to kingdom come in the next 3rd person shooter with just your finger… The Myo tag teamed with Ocular Rift would do just that. Just don›t get lost in all the cyber space interactive fun. Mom›s baked cookies just might get stale.

S. Lawndale Little Village definitely would be the better choice in real estate, as the other ends of Lawndale have rougher areas and some foreclosed homes from the economy shift. We give Lawndale  Chicago Dogs.

About Deon Malik Vision. Vision is broken down in multiple levels, yet as a whole is still one in the same. You see out of both eyes, and subconsciously record something you can never truly forget even when you think you have. In these two eyes you see life and the experiences that come along with it. In seeing experiences the more you see the more you know. This is when it becomes apparent that vision transcends the things your two eyes see since you begin to take these experiences and see things in a way that can’t be currently seen, but will be at some point in life. As an individual it has been an honor to fall into my rightful place in this vision that we all capture. This vision of what it means to be Deon Malik, what it will mean, and what it can mean. Nonetheless it all ties down into giving vision to every aspect as a whole and every inch of what life includes in its infinite ways of growing. Divulge magazine is just that and to be apart of a very source dedicated in exposing another source to the areas of vision not yet explored for other individuals, is rewarding in itself. Providing a genuine outlet that is as raw as the very grains plucked from a farm, as raw as taking a photo in Earth’s natural organic provider; the sun, as raw as coming directly from the source, is what makes my job empowering for you. Tarerus Moore Chief Editor of Divulge understood this vision we as people hold and understood my place in this vision to allow my natural talents to unfold in a place where many otherwise would have to cater to someone whose catering. Over here we cater because we want too. Over here we cater because of vision. Over here we cater with vision coming from your vision and that simply being areas you have yet to explore, and even if you have, understand, when do you ever truly stop exploring? I take this very understanding and immerse myself in a world where a mere camera and the internet provide the very foundation where we as people come together to carry out our purpose; Vision; whatever that means FOR you. I capture life with a tool; being a camera, and provide opportunity with a magazine that isn’t just a magazine but a window to the world and what goes on around you. I capture life with a tool; being words, and get the inside scoop and the information associated with what that picture may be… purely unbiased but recognized for its bias to the way world see’s it. What would you care to have us Divulge today?
