Gall Bladder Stone
What is it?
Gallstones are hardened bile deposits that can develop in the gallbladder. Bile is a digestive fluid that your liver produces and stores in your gallbladder. Your gallbladder contracts and dumps bile into your small intestine when you eat.
What causes gallstones? If bile contains too much cholesterol, too much bilirubin, or not enough bile salts, gallstones can form. Researchers are still puzzled as to why these bile alterations occur. Gallstones can also form if the gallbladder isn't emptying properly or frequently enough.
