MARKER RENDERS FACELIFTS VEHICLE PACKAGING AUTODESK ALIAS NATURE & FORM SYSTEMS DESIGN CV - CLASSROOM PROJECT GRADUATION PROJECT TATA KITE 5 HOT HATCHBACK MISCELLANEOUS SKETCHES

With image reference taken from the internet, the Copic Cool grey marker set was used for the SLS AMG sketch.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Exploring different finishes, the concept car on the top was more of a less reflective basic sketch, just so that the surfaces are differentiated and clear. To the right, the Mini Cooper S was done with a little more detail and a higher contrast giving it an artistic appeal to it.

Some Products rendered using markers, with picture references from the internet. The faucet was one of the first marker renders, to understand chrome rendering. The Pistol and the microphone were personally chosen and gave me a good understanding of how different surfaces have to be rendered.

GRADUATION PROJECT Brief: To design a light commercial vehicle based on the Kwid platform, which should be cost effective and functional, that it should appeal to small time and big time cargo companies, as well as compete with vehicles such as the Tata Ace and the Force 6 seater. It should have a good balance between style and functionality.

Target Audience This product will be targeted at the lower class who make their living in the transport industry. The aim here was to make the vehicle appealing to this category of people by making it ultra low cost, efficient and economical, and good after-sales spares and service support.

Target Specification This product will be targeted more towards practicality and more than the visual design, it will be focused more on intelligent design such as; parts and materials to be used, flexible functionality wise, should provide maximum value for money but with interesting aesthetics and more features which will appeal to the small transport business owners, or the drivers themselves.

The shell-like structure is called Bowooss, which, roughly translated, stands for “bionic optimized wood shells with sustainability”. The pavilion’s perforated design resembles a bug’s shell or oval-shaped beehive. Although it’s more open than enclosed, the structure demonstrates both remarkable strength and portability. The unique pattern used to construct this pavilion lets in natural light from every angle, while still providing lightweight, sustainable shelter. It’s easy to imagine how, if strategically covered with some sort of insulating material, such a criss-crossed design could be used to build affordable residences for low-impact home enthusiasts.
