During his 18-year tenure, Geoff Worrell served on multiple committees from Building & Grounds to Investment. His decision making and career expertise in finance brought enormous contributions to his role on the Board. Geoff’s passion for Tabor, especially championing the success of the school’s students and faculty, directly contributed to helping Tabor’s leadership foster a more inclusive environment.

Joined the Board in 2015 / 6 years of service

Jay Waring’s service on the Board of Trustees was critical to Tabor Academy’s success over the last six years. Most recently, he served as co-chair of the Head of School Search Committee and his commitment and leadership was instrumental in bringing Tony Jaccaci to Tabor as the 11th head of school. In addition, Jay played an influential role in Tabor 150: Navigating the Future, the school's long-term strategic plan launched in 2014—as a Board member, advocate, and donor. As chair of the Board’s Finance Committee and member of both the Advancement and Nominating & Governance committees, Jay was committed to his fiduciary duty to help Tabor grow now and in the future.

On his recent election to the Board, Dave remarked, “I am honored to represent generations of family members who have learned, taught, and grown in the classroom, on the playing fields, and in the dorms at the School by the Sea. My goal is to ensure that all who come to Tabor have an equal or better chance to grow and excel inside the classroom and out, and to help them uncover their passion through numerous co-curricular activities. My ultimate hope is that all members of the school community leave with an enduring connection to Tabor and, in turn, make their communities and our world a place where all can thrive.”

On her new Board role, Jacqueline shared, “I’m excited and honored to be joining the Board at a time of change, which includes new leadership for Tabor and its Board. As the parent of a teen and two recent college graduates, I believe that this generation of students is different. I am proud that Tabor’s students are driving challenging and important conversations with faculty and parents, pushing for change, and insisting on being heard. I am equally proud that Tabor has demonstrated its readiness to have these discussions, and remain a school that is warm, inviting, and inclusive for all."

Reflecting on his recent appointment to Tabor’s Board, Kelvin noted, “Tabor has had a long history of welcoming students from all around the world, in particular China, and with my field experience, relationships, and understanding, I hope to continue to help the Board and Tabor grow its support from and reputation in China.”

On his election to the Board, Eric remarked, “I am excited to give back to Tabor both professionally and personally and I hope to make an impact on future generations. As an alum, proud Tabor parent, and a Marion resident, I hope to bring a local perspective to the Board of Trustees. I look forward to my time with Tabor to provide opportunities for continued success and growth to our student population, parents, alumni, and community.”
