Letter from the Head of School
Head of School Tony Jaccaci P'23
Dear Members of the Tabor Family,
Thank you!
Although I am a new member of this community, I come into my service to the school and its students with gratitude for your support for Tabor. This report demonstrates strength and loyalty to our school in a time of uncertainty and need. The call went out and you responded—what a wonderful testimony to you and the many others who supported Tabor!
As we consider the future of the institution, philanthropy and financial support will remain a crucial element of our success. The funds that you donate to our school help us provide the very best in independent boarding and day education— small class sizes, residential programs with dedicated and professional faculty, resources and learning facilities that are first class.
The one-of-a-kind experience that Tabor Academy provides to our boarding and day students has never been more relevant in an era when preparing to thrive in a rapidly changing and, at times, challenging world. Our graduates are leaving Marion not only prepared to succeed at university and careers beyond but also to help change their own world and the world around them for the better.
A crucial responsibility of the school is to make the best use of the gifts you give to the school. We have been working diligently this past year in making sure that we find the best returns on your investments in Tabor. This includes review of our student program, upkeep on a fabulous campus, and recruiting of the best faculty and staff possible to serve our students. We know that our donors have choices with their philanthropy and want you to know that we use these funds to best improve the student experience.
As part of my transition into my new role, I have enjoyed working with the Board to make decisions for the present and future of the school. This is a dedicated and talented group of volunteers and oversight of the school’s financial future is front and center of our planning. Your gifts allow us to expand the possibilities of how we might best shape that future for Tabor.
Again, my sincere thanks for your support and I look forward to meeting many of you soon!
