The first Tattersalls October £25,000 Book 1 Bonus of 2017 was won by the William Jarvis-trained MRS GALLAGHER who held on bravely to win the Godfrey Tabiner British EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Ascot in a thrilling finish. Under the guidance of Silvestre De Sousa, the daughter of OASIS DREAM picked up a total of £37,675 on debut for her owner Emma Banks, made up of a £25,000 Book 1 Bonus, a £7,500 Plus 10 Bonus and prize money of £5,175. Consigned by Stanley House Stud, MRS GALLAGHER is the first foal out of Listed-placed mare A HUGE DREAM, a half-sister to dual winner of the Group 1 BMW Champion’s Mile at Sha Tin, XTENSION. The well-bred filly was purchased by James Toller at Book 1 for 140,000 guineas. Trainer William Jarvis said after the race “I think MRS GALLAGHER is quite smart.
