He was a tough, durable racehorse staying in training until 5 years old, beating a total of 49 stakes winners during his career, and has numerous Group wins and placings both on British soil and in the UAE. Alongside his own performance his pedigree also offers plenty of encouragement that his progeny will excel. He is a son of the brilliant Shamardal whose son, Lope De Vega ranks as one of the most exciting young sires in Europe, and he is out of a half-sister to Group 1 winners Kirklees and Mastery. His third dam is the excellent sprinter Cherokee Rose. Mukhadram’s fine race record and bloodlines have already proved desirable with breeders and trainers alike, as his first yearlings sold for an average of around five times his £7,000 fee with a top price of £200,000. This combination of talent and top class pedigree should stand his first two-year-old runners in good stead in 2018 and we look forward to seeing what they can do in the coming year.
