YEARLINGS
Passport (Microchip No. should be verified). Upto-date flu vaccinations – see below (vaccinations not required for yearlings in the February Sale only). Intra-Community health certificate dated within 14 days.
HORSES IN TRAINING BROKEN/UNBROKEN (INC. 2 YEAR OLDS)
Passport (Microchip No. should be verified). Upto-date flu vaccinations – see below. Soundness for Racing Certificate (dated within 14 days) where applicable. (N.B. to be completed on Tattersalls Ireland issued veterinary certificates). Fillies Examination Certificate (dated within 14 days) only required for fillies 3 years old and over being sold as potential brood mares. Contagious Equine Metritus (C.E.M.) certificate required if offered with Fillies examination certificate (see below). IntraCommunity health certificate dated within 14 days.
FILLIES OUT OF TRAINING
Passport (Microchip No. should be verified). Up-todate vaccinations – see below. Fillies examination certificate (dated within 14 days) only required for fillies 3 years old and over being sold as potential brood mares. Contagious Equine Metritus (C.E.M.) certificate dated within 30 days – see below. IntraCommunity health certificate dated within 14 days.
BROODMARES INC. MAIDEN MARES
Broodmare Passport (Microchip No. should be verified). Once a mare is in foal she must be named and also registered with Weatherbys as a “broodmare”. No flu vaccinations are required. Covering certificate. Pregnancy certificate (dated within 21 days) Contagious Equine Metritus (C.E.M.) certificate dated within 30 days – see below. Intra-Community health certificate dated within 14 days. Vaccination of all pregnant broodmares against Equine Herpes Virus (EHV – 1, EHV-4).All pregnant mares will be required to have been vaccinated against EHV in the 5th, 7th and 9th month of pregnancy and details recorded on the mare’s passport. Mares of less than 9 months gestation at the time of sale would only require certification of vaccination at 5 and 7 months. Mares of less than 7 months gestation at the time of sale would only require certification of vaccination at 5 months.Pregnant mares may not be admitted to Tattersalls Ireland premises without EHV Vaccination certificate.
BARREN BROODMARES
Broodmare Passport (Microchip No. should be verified). No flu vaccinations are required.Contagious Equine Metritus (C.E.M.) certificate dated within 30 days – see below. Intra-Community health certificate dated within 14 days.
STALLIONS
Passport (Microchip No. should be verified). No flu vaccinations are required. Soundness for breeding certificate (dated within 14 days). Contagious Equine Metritus (C.E.M.) certificate dated within 30 days – see below. Intra-Community health certificate dated within 14 days.
CONTAGIOUS EQUINE METRITIS (C.E.M.)
One swab of Clitoral Fossa to be taken within 30 days of sale – to be negative for C.E.M. N.B. It takes approximately 7 days to obtain a C.E.M. certificate.
FLU VACCINATIONS
The vaccinations against Equine Influenza are required to be administered as follows; the primary vaccination (consisting of two injections) must be given not less than 21 days nor more than 92 days apart. A booster injection must be given not less than 150 days and not more than 215 days after the second injection of the primary vaccination. Thereafter, booster injections must be given within each succeeding 12-month period. Please note where vaccinations are found not to be up to date a fee will apply.
