2012 Training Station Schedule

About the TAUD Training Station

The Training Station was established in 1999 to serve the training needs of utility operators, managers and commissioners. The building is located in Murfreesboro, which offers many lodging and dining options. Murfreesboro is the geographic center of the state and allows students and class participants from each of the three grand divisions the utmost flexibility for class participation. The 7,800 square feet building is equipped with four classrooms capable of accommodating a total of one hundred forty students and an open bay for mechanical and performance-based training. Classes are also conducted offsite at 21 different locations ranging from Memphis to Johnson City.

Each Fall, staff assesses the anticipated training needs for the next year and develops and publishes the annual Training Station Schedule. Certified instructors experienced in actual operations present these classes utilizing the most current presentation equipment and materials available. Classes range in scope from basic math to the newest technology in water and wastewater treatment processes. All classes are developed to provide the most current information available on their topic and nearly all offer operating experience substitution credit and/or continuing education credit. Online training opportunities are also available for individuals seeking alternative CE training.
