Kimberly has been happily married for 22 years to Mark Beamon, an engineer at Dell and together they have two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Morgan along with four amazing grandchildren they adore. She’s an only child raised by a single mother who always stressed the importance of getting a good education. Her mother always led by example and even worked a second job when she was a child in order to provide her with a quality education. She also taught Kimberly the importance of giving back and that was my inspiration for becoming an educator. For as long as she can remember, she has alrelated activities and projects. Whether it involved her duties as a mother, being a mentor to new teachers in her school district, a mentor to young girls or the annual coat and food drive, she assist with each year during the holidays. It was actually her desire to be affiliated with service-related projects and her passion for education that sparked her interest in becoming a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. For years, Kimberly watched members from afar, exemplify the four principles of scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood so once she became a member it fell in line with the way she operates both in her personal and professional life. In her spare time, Kimberly loves spending time with her family, traveling and working on home projects. Her t ask the answer is always no.”
