The Adopt-A-Highway program consists of a volunteer group picking litter off a section of a road which they have adopted. The section of the road is around two miles in length. The program is to educate and encourage people to stop littering.
TPZ Sorors, Amicae, Zeta Male Network and supporters showed up bright and early on May 22, 2022, ready to do service for the community of Alsip, Illinois. Geared up in our safety vest, gloves, mask and trash bags. We split into two groups to clean both sides of 127th Street which is approximately a 2-mile stretch. Each group walked up
and down the roadway collecting trash that had accumulated over time. Together, we served a total of 76 service hours. Thanks to everyone for your hard work and dedication and for giving a part of your Sunday morning to contribute.

Tau Psi Zeta Sorors, Amicae and Youth once again partnered with March for Babies by raising funds and awareness to prevent preterm birth and give more babies a healthy start in life. As one of Zeta’s national initiatives, this partnership not only includes fundraising for March for Dimes, but it also gives TPZ the opportunity to share what we learn about prematurity awareness, healthy births and healthy moms throughout the community served by Zeta’s many chapters across the globe.
TPZ is always ready to answer the call, but the new members from Pi class proved they are ready to also do the work of Zeta by helping TPZ reach and go beyond their goal. TPZ placed as one of the top ten Zeta Phi Beta Sorority teams nationally, raising $8,503. Additionally, Zeta Amicae of Alsip raised $2.079 and the Tau Psi Zeta Youth Affiliates raised $1,085.
The top five TPZ fundraisers were: Kenyatta Starks $763, Charlene Webster $557, Cheri Houston $516, Leza Knox $507 and Theonia Stewart $500. Great job, Sorors!
