People identify themselves with their professions, ethnicities, sexual orientations but unlike last decades people started to identify themselves with where they live ( not where they were born ) like the cities and neighborhoods. Because citizens realised they influence/ are influenced by their neighbors and these influences became a part of their identities. For example nowadays being New Yorker, Londoner, Syneysider, Parisien, Berliner, Moscovites, Tokyojin brings an image to our minds. But Istanbul - with a population of 15 millionhas been having some troubles to create an identity. Kadikoy 2.0 asks question about �is it possible to create an identity, if so how to create the identity in Istanbul. Throughout the history Taksim Square and Beyoglu area have been the exciting area for the youngs but at the same time it has been always targeted for speculations by politicians. After Gezi Park Protests (2013) people got desperate about Taksim so Istanbullu* people looked for somewhere else to sustain Istanbul’s subcultre. Could Kadikoy be an option?

An ordinary day in Erenköy Rehab, everybody gathered around the table and excited. The cork board has laid and wooden pions are prepared for the game. More than twenty people are checking over the board game; some of them have a cold feet, some of them never hesitate to touch pieces. This is the game that has been played every saturday since last year in Erenköy Rehab. The game has been played to manifest different opinion and negotiate about reconstruction of Erenköy Training and Research Hospital for Psychiatry and Neurological Diseases.It is an interesting game to play because the winner changes every time when you play and hard to predict the winner while playing. It helps to create a community and Erenköy Training and Research Hospital for Psychiatry and Neurological Diseases has started to construct according to discussions that has been going on the game.

4th Tümaş Marble Exhibition Design Contest

Design Team: Alpcan Hastürk, Buse Ceren Ekici, Taylan Karabaş

Tümaş Marble Exhibition Design Contest Project consists of 4 parts. 1. Exhibition Area 2. Storage 3. Service Area 4. Consultation Area While designing the Exhibition Area, the design team focused on experimenting marble despite the chaotic atmosphere of the expo center. Thus noise proof-isolated “experiment pods” are designed which include at least five projectors each. The design team aimed to make people feel like they are made out of marble when they are inside of the “experiment pod”.
