Employee retention remains a major concern for restaurant operators ― and rightfully so. Top talent is always in demand and operators will face keen competition as they seek high-quality workers from the front to the back of the house.
How our solutions can help you:
• Engage staff to become highly visible brand ambassadors with our cost-effective employee uniform programs.
• Provide a more consistent brand experience with branded employee apparel such as aprons, shirts, hats and name badges.

• Use kits containing branded promotional items for welcoming new hires, retaining valued workers and training employees.
To remain profitable, restaurants must find ways to become more cost-efficient, such as through the adoption of automated technology systems.3
Increase Speed to Market and Efficiency
Many restaurant operators work with multiple print vendors to provide locations with marketing materials. However, this decentralized approach comes with risks related to controlling brand, managing production, tracking inventory and spend, and maximizing cost efficiencies ― to name a few. Not surprisingly, these risks increase in size and complexity as your business increases in size and complexity.
Whether you have a handful or hundreds of locations, working with a single partner for your marketing and promotions can solve logistical headaches, boost operational efficiency, simplify processes and ensure brand consistency across promotions, materials and channels.

Jersey Mike’s Subs
CHALLENGE
Jersey Mike’s Subs, a fast-growing restaurant franchise, sought Taylor’s help in addressing several complex pain points. The process of ordering printed materials was highly inefficient and offered no reporting of any kind, leaving the company without critical demographic, inventory or usage data.
SOLUTION
Taylor’s proprietary Response Elements platform addressed each of the challenges facing Jersey Mike’s.
• The Response Elements system easily accommodates the client’s 1,300 users and 1,300 products. Franchisees are able to manage the specification, ordering, production and distribution of printed materials — everything from full-color window clings and A-frame signs to banners and sneeze guards.

• The Response Elements platform’s reporting capabilities also enable Jersey Mike’s to identify trends that will inform future growth strategies.
RESULTS
Taylor’s Response Elements technology has revolutionized the way Jersey Mike’s Subs sources its printed materials. Franchisees nationwide enjoy a user-friendly online ordering process, complete with shipping confirmations and tracking features. The Response Elements platform also generates detailed usage and inventory reports to aid the company’s long-term decision-making.

Rita’s Italian Ice
CHALLENGE
Since its founding in 1984, Rita’s Italian Ice has grown to more than 550 locations across the country. With limited corporate staff, however, the organization needed help building a supply chain program, including a single distribution facility for branded merchandise and pointof-purchase (POP) displays ― signage, posters, mascot costumes and more. Under the existing process, stores often received late and incorrect shipments.
SOLUTION
Based on the client’s business requirements, Taylor designed a more efficient supply chain for branded merchandise. The program’s main components are:
• Sourcing of signage, coupons, apparel, merchandise and promotional items for corporate campaigns
• Warehousing and distribution of branded and print materials
• Kitting and fulfillment for seasonal and event promotions
• An online ordering platform with secure credit card billing for franchisees
• Detailed inventory and usage reports
Taylor also matched POP materials with each store’s layout ― walk-in, walk-up, combinations or mail location ― to further streamline distribution and drive cost savings.
RESULTS
By ensuring timely, accurate shipment of branded merchandise, our solution has enhanced Rita’s franchisee satisfaction and improved guest service. We now support a variety of the client’s fulfillment programs, such as routine replenishment of store supplies and promotional materials. This has allowed Rita’s corporate staff to focus more time on developing successful campaigns and less time worrying about each campaign’s finer details.
