Dear Church Family, Easter was such a special time in the life of our family and I hope it was for yours, too. Certainly it was a meaningful time for the Taylors family as we were able to reflect, confess, worship and praise the Lord for the cross and empty tomb. Now that spring is in full bloom, I'm excited about our new sermon series that speaks to hopelessness that can cut across all segments of family culture: the death of loved ones, being single, looking to marry, cultural pressures, financial struggles, and the hope of stability and richness in the future for our families. I look forward to walking with you through the book of Ruth, a beautiful Old Testament narrative that personalizes God's redemption from hopelessness. You'll be amazed at the link between Ruth's story and yours as God continues to redeem us from the desperate days of our American culture, the desperate needs of our families, and the often desperate cries of our hearts.

GIVING Welcome Dr. Danny Akin on May 7 at 9 & 10:30 am

National Day of Prayer 2017 12 pm | Taylors FBC Chapel | Led by Dr. Jimmie Harley As citizens and residents of the United States and as believers in Christ Jesus, we not only have a spiritual responsibility according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to pray, but also a civic duty to heed our President’s call to stand in the gap for our nation. Scripture tells us again and again that our fervent prayer is effective. At this crucial time for our nation, we can do nothing more important than pray. Thank you in advance for making this spiritual discipline a personal priority!

War Room by Priscilla Shirer "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." Matthew 6:6 War Room Bible Study is based on movie clips by the same title where Tony and Elizabeth Jordan seemingly have it all – great jobs, a beautiful daughter, their dream home. In reality, their marriage has become a war zone. But with the help of an older, wiser woman, Elizabeth discovers she can start fighting for her family instead of against them. With her newly energized faith, Elizabeth's real enemy doesn't have a prayer. Session topics include: Dealing with Spiritual Lukewarmness, Christian Accountability, Grasping Grace and the Gospel, Engaging in Spiritual Warfare, and Trusting God in Prayer Register at taylorsfbc.org/women

What’s a D-Group?

By David Cline

Do you want your life to make a difference for Christ? If so, then what are you doing today to insure you’ll make that kind of difference tomorrow? Those two questions, asked by a former teacher, have served as a continual source of motivation and challenge for my spiritual journey. He would remind us often that a life that leaves a lasting impact would require three things…Preparation, Possession, and Progress. A D-Group is a small group comprised of 3-5 men or women who gather weekly for the purpose of helping each other grow spiritually so they can, in turn, help others do the same. Through a combination of spiritual disciplines and spiritually-accountable relationships, D-Groups are designed to help you experience a closer personal walk with Christ, to equip you to know and apply God's Word to daily life, and to foster meaningful, authentic relationships with others. Typically a D-Group will meet for 12-18 months before intentionally multiplying in order for members to form new groups where they can impart to others what they now possess. If these three principles resonate with where you are or what you desire for your life, we want to help. We'd like to invite you to join us for our next D-Group training experience.

D-Group Training: Sunday, May 21, 6 – 8 pm in The Apex Make plans to take this initial step to make a difference tomorrow. For more information contact Beth Caskey at bethc@taylorsfbc.org or call 864-678-8815. TAYLORSFBC.ORG | 7
