PERSUASIVE POSTER SERIES
Objective: Write and design a series of 3 political posters. Design must have ability to persuade an audience to a specific viewpoint on chosen current events issue.
I chose very bold black and white pictures and broke them up to convey the internal effects of child abuse. I stuck to a strict color scheme of black, white, and red because of the serious tone that it conveys. I also chose a very bold typeface and paired it with a light serifed font.

PENGUIN POPULAR CLASSICS
Objective: Design a “Penguin Classics” series of 4 book covers for William Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, MacBeth, and Othello.
Taylor Renbarger 260.413.4723 tayrenba@indiana.edu
I chose to go graphic with these book covers. I incorporated images of major themes throughout each book and morphed them into one image. I wanted to convey a tone of tragic romance, which is a huge factor in all of Shakespeare’s books. I chose a beautiful script typeface as the display face and a serif font as the text face.

THEMESTER Objective: Create a poster to bring awareness to a discussion between two political speakers from opposing political parties. I wanted to give this poster the aesthetic of an old political cartoon poster. I went with patriotic colors and themes as well as illustrations to make the poster more playful and intriguing.
SAAL PUBLISHING Objective: Design multiple types of advertising for print and online media. In order to create these mailers I manipulated and color corrected photos. I also ensured that all co-op guidelines were met, i.e. Logo usage, Trademarks etc.

Objective: Produce material for musicians and Broadway productions.
Taylor Renbarger 260.413.4723 tayrenba@indiana.edu
I combined elements for the IU Auditorium season branding, along with materials provided by the touring productions. I developed a diverse array of ads, playbills, billboards, posters and website materials.

From the first notes to the final breath, West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents’ book remains as powerful, poignant, and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim—a collection of standards that includes “Tonight,” “America,” “Maria,” “I Feel Pretty,” and “Somewhere”—is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. And the extraordinary, Tonywinning choreography by Jerome Robbins completely changed the language of Broadway dance.
on the show’s raw power and emotion to create an experience unlike any that came before it. In an additional twist, performers will occasionally speak or sing in their character’s native Spanish—emphasizing the realism of this story of clashing cultures. Audiences will be captivated by the stunning visuals, the heart-wrenching performances, and the unparalleled dancing in this, the most beloved Broadway musical of all time.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB Objective: Design a flyer to bring awareness to the “It Just Takes One” campaign. For this flyer, I wanted to make people aware of how much the Boys and Girls Club of Zionsville does for local area youth. I wanted it to be fun and playful but still get the point across. I used bright colors and sketches to reflect the young and fun atmosphere of the club.

DESCRIPTIVE WORDS / MOOD This style evokes a sense of feminine ferocity. It describes a girl who is girly with the accented pastel yellow and fun print. It also describes a girl who is fierce with the shades of black and grey paired with the chain link texture. This makeup is for a girl who knows how to have fun and be feminine but also lives life on the edge and isnt afraid to take risks.
