WOMEN IN BUSINESS Powerful women invest!

AWomen in Business networking luncheon was held Feb. 24 at the Chamber. Everyone enjoyed a catered lunch and delicious desserts donated by Nothing Bundt Cakes.

The theme for the event was “Powerful Women Invest in Themselves.” Speakers Doreen Hughes, of TGRE, and Susan Heflin, of King James Lending, spoke about investment opportunities that all women should be aware of, including real estate and the stock market. They told stories from their personal and professional backgrounds and gave encouraging advice to all guests.

The next Women in Business luncheon will be held March 24 at the Chamber. The theme will be “Powerful Women Inspire Us,” and guests will hear stories about how businesses and careers have been launched by local women.
