SHOW PREVIEW

About 26 years ago someone got a great cycling idea . . . And TAIPEI CYCLE took off! Links the BEST wheels with MIT Bicycles

Fact Sheet Organizer:

It was 26 years ago (1988) when the staff at TAITRA’s TaiSPO (Taipei Int’l Sporting Goods Show) spotted the trend, that bicycles were so hot at the show. And that’s when the show organizer, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), started to spin bicycle section off into a new show called TAIPEI CYCLE.

Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)

With every passing year the event moved further to enhance the “bicycle” concept by re-sketching its “toy image” into a powerful icon for better, healthier and greener living. Then added thrust came in 1992 when TAIPEI CYCLE inspired the founding of TBEA (Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association) which signed-on to globally promote MIT* bicycles.

SHOW PREVIEW TAITRA puts TAIPEI CYCLE'13 in Gear with Pre-Show Press Tour & Conference

The “other” Cross-Island Tour: Press Tour & Conference Explores the Kingdom of Bicycles As a prelude to Asia's largest bicycle show, TAITRA ( Taiwan External Trade Development Council ) organized the TAIPEI CYCLE 2013 PreShow Conference and Tour to brief the press on the latest cycle news and explore the wonders of this isle where great cycling beings. TAITRA President & CEO Chao Yuen Chuan briefs the press on how TAIPEI CYCLE best promotes the Industry.

Spring will blossom a record size TAIPEI CYCLE Most know the Tour de Taiwan, but there’s another tour on wheels, namely the TAIPEI CYCLE 2013 Pre‐Show Conference and Tour that brought press to the best factories across Taiwan to show them where the magic all begins. The annual media tour kicked off Nov. 7 with a trip to Taoyuan to check out Pacific Cycles, a master maker of folding bikes. After Pacific, the journalists attended the Taipei Cycle 2013 Presentation & Press Conference held at the Windsor Hotel, Taichung. While in Taichung , 22 members of the press joint the press conference and 6 add‐on factories. In the opening remarks, TAITRA president and CEO, Chao Yuen Chuan, pointed out that 1,095 companies, 285 from overseas and 810 from Taiwan, are planning to exhibit at the 2013 Taipei Int’l Cycle Show, and that a total of 8,000 buyers were expected. Building momentum for this show, Chao added, was its flexibility in running in conjunction with three other sport‐ related shows, namely TaiSPO (Taipei Int’l Sporting Goods Show), SPOMODE (Taipei Int’l Sports & Accessory Expo) and DiWas (Taiwan Int’l Diving and Water Sports Show). It also coincides with the Tour de Taiwan that runs from March 18 to 24. The chairman of A‐Team, Michael Tseng, who is also the president of Merida, pointing out how Taiwan has come out ahead by putting value and innovation first. Overall value of bicycles and parts increased 10.1% (January‐Sept 2012 over the same period of the previous year) to surpass

The carbon parts from Gigantex

the US$1,945 million mark eventhough volume of export dropped during the same period. Meanwhile, Tseng stated that the top ten markets of Taiwan bicycles were the U.S., the Netherlands, UK, Japan, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Spain and Norway. The U.S. consumed 22.5% of Taiwan’s total shipments, followed by the Netherlands at 14.1%. And exports of bicycle parts from Taiwan during the first nine months increased 18.4% year on year to US$674 million. Following Tseng’s speech, Taichung City Deputy Mayor Tsai Ping Kun spoke about the city government’s commitment to the promotion of cycling. He remarked, “In Taichung City, where bicycles are an important industry, we are putting our energy into promoting rental cycles and expanding the bicycle lane network. Our bicycle lanes, in total, already exceed 100km in total length. And from now on we’d like to further promote cycling and to make bicycles a main means of transportation in the city.”

Hot wheels at Ming Cycle's assembly line

The press tour kicked off at the Pacific Cycles Plant known for its folding bikes.

Factory Tours of Ideal Bike, Wheeler and VP components After the press conference, media members visited the 2013 New Product Presentation corner set up in the Windsor Hotel and saw exhibits by Kentfa (e-bikes), Taya (chain), Greentrans (e-bike power kits), Chairman Michael Wheeler (bicycles), A-Team Tseng praises innovations Alex (rims), Cionlli made by Taiwan bicycle (saddles), Darfon makers. (e-bikes), Alligator (cables) and First Bicycle Components (gear cranks & B.B. set). On the next day, November 8, the media group visited the plant of Ideal Bike in Taichung City, Chia Cherne, located in Changhwa City, as well as Gigantex, a carbon parts maker in Changhwa County. And on the 9th, they went to Unitrade Cycle, a Taichungbased trading company handling bicycle parts, Ming Cycle and VP Components in the same city. At Wheeler, journalists were given an opportunity to test-ride the company’s new models and at VP the company’s BMM race course attracted their attention. On the last day of this year’s Media Tour, November 10, media members attended the starting ceremony for “Formosa 900” early in the morning, held in front of Taipei City Hall, and they saw off cyclists, including Giant Group Chairman King Liu, start pedaling to the TBEAsponsored 900km around Taiwan cycling. In view of its enhanced 3 show venues, TAITRA this year has broadened its press tour to include 22 journalists from 15 countries who represented both cycle press and the key sporting good related media. The coming TAIPEI CYCLE which comes with so many related activities, from watersports to ball and textiles, promises to be the best and broadest cycle event in its 26 ‐year history.

The idea of CariBoo is to offer affordable cargo transport around the world. Recycled bicycle parts from Europe are combined with free locally available materials. The basic set is composed of some pre-manufactured stainless steel parts and a main frame made of bamboo. The main frame (two equal frames) can be built anywhere in the world where bamboo grows.

Thin Bike Spain Rodríguez Bodí Thin Bike is a light racing bike with a frame as thin as one centimeter, made possible thanks to the locked solid cylinder profile structure which creates triangular geometries.

Sawyer Netherlands Jurgen Kuipers Sawyer is a beach cruiser with a custom made beech plywood frame. It's constructed from wooden panels. The bike has special features including its chain line and unique design with an elegant look and a comfortable ride. As a side project there is a scale 1:1 model kit. This building kit includes all the required parts for building a Sawyer bike. All of the parts can be cut or sawed out and assembled.

This "retro-futuristic" lowrider cruiser was inspired by the magnificent age of aerodynamic steam locomotives. Pedaling torque is transmitted by coupling rods like steam machines. Hu b l e s s w h e e l s r u n o n planetary rollers. The low frame geometry gives a comfortable cruiser feeling.

Frame 22 Taiwan Lai, Yu-Yuan

Frame 22 is an urban bike with bamboo elastic structure. The shock and stem are made of bamboo, reducing vibration. In order to enhance the power of back triangles, the bamboo structure extends from seat stay to chain stay. Road bikes are the best suited for riding on concrete roads, but potholes can be a danger. Frame 22 was created as an urban bike with light shock absorber, which offers a more comfortable riding experience.

The Essence Taiwan Chang, Ming-Kang

With a simple appearance, the bike offers two different riding styles: one is fixedgear and the other is single-speed for easier riding. To achieve this concept, the bike's top tube and seat stays are replaced by thinner steel bars; there is a special rear hub with two modes, single speed freewheel or single cog; and the seat is also designed to be removed or assembled quickly for adjustment.

SHOW PREVIEW Evolve Sweden Fredrik Lundin Evolve is an electric bike designed for youth with the focus on integrating the battery to create a wholeness that is simple and intuitive. The e-bike is easy to use and operate, with an automatic transmission. A modular system allows the user to choose a design with mudguards, rear rack, or without these accessories. The battery design is based on "cradle-to-cradle", to maximize the battery life and minimize environmental impact.

Quiclean South Korea Choi, Chang hyun / Shin, Dong jin

Street cleaners have to carry heavy trash with a handcart as well as carrying cleaning tools. Quiclean enables street cleaners to move faster and easier than pulling a conventional handcart on foot. This electric vehicle's battery can be efficiently charged through a solar cell panel.

Gran Turismo Canada Justin Chan / Paul Czarnietzki / Mina Lee / Andrew Lesniak Known for their ergonomics, recumbent tricycles allow people with injuries that prevent them from riding a normal bike to continue cycling. However, recumbent tricycle designs have remained unchanged. The Gran-Turismo makes improvements in aesthetics, safety, materials and technology. Using an existing recumbent tricycle, the frame has been overhauled while keeping the same dimensions and geometry to maintain ergonomics.

Theft Pedal Taiwan Yao, Ying-Ling / Hsu, Ting-Yun Pedals can be more than the power interface: they can also prevent the bicycle from being stolen. Using the profile of the pedal, the two sides of the pedal are extended to form a fork shape, it is then fixed to the frame, locking the pedal. Thus, the pedal cannot move forwards, offering an elegant anti-theft function.

Penta Brake System Switzerland Martina Zbinden To put this hydraulic brake system into effect, very little power is needed. In contrast to a normal hydraulic brake, it is much easier to apply the brake force with this innovative thumb-brakesystem. Since the lines are internal within the frame, unwanted clutter disappears. The low-maintenance brake is operated by the handlebar and stem.

ERON Germany Thomas Breun ERON is a system that combines the functions of a disc brake and lighting. Magnets fitted in the discs produce electric energy in induction coils arranged beside the brake calipers. The front lights are integrated in the brake handles. The taillight is attachable to the rear brake caliper. The “Dual Plug hose line allows control of the disc system with oil and to supply the front lights with electric energy. ERON provides two important functions with one system!

Ubqo Sixty60 Switzerland Marco Giarrana Ubqo Sixty60 is a mountain bike frame that excels in a wide range of uses from cross country to freeriding. It eliminates the only real weak points of virtual pivot designs: replacing the two small linkages exposed to extremely high loads with two large excenters that can resist the loads much better. With its round-edged carbon profiles, Ubqo Sixty60 is a machine which is able to tackle any terrain.

DrinLock Taiwan Chen, Chien-Wei / Kao, Hua-Cheng DrinLock combines a lock and drink holder. When you reach your destination, the drink holder can easily be converted into a bicycle lock. DrinLock not only protects your bike from theft, but also ends the burden of lock-carrying and optimizes the traditional appearance of locks. When you need a ride, the lock can return to being a drink holder using a spring structure.

TAIPEI Wind-Power Taiwan Kuo, Li-Wei Kuo / Wu, Yu-Wei The new wind-powered bicycle LED headlight utilizes headwind while the bike is in motion to generate electricity as a source of energy for the LED headlight. The electricity is saved in 3xAAA rechargeable batteries and may be used to power a small fan when the cyclist stops at traffic lights.

The Glow Rider Taiwan Hao, Kuang-Chung / Lin, Yi-Ching / Chen, Yen-Liang Bicycling in the dark can be extremely dangerous. The Glow Rider is a flash light, tail light and also a projection light. The Glow Rider is mounted on the rear fender; it acts as a high power tail light. With a flick of a switch, the Glow Rider will project a bright beam of light onto the rider's back. This creates a larger light surface area hence making the rider more visible in the rain or dark.

Children's Bike Seat Switzerland Martina Staub / Lisa Nissen The protective frame of this children's bike seat is made of fiber-glass reinforced polypropylene. The cushion is a 3d-mesh and is soft and protective at the same time. It can be easily removed from the frame. In case of a sudden stop, the child is secured by a five point safety belt. The frame construction protects the child's head. There is a sleeping position and the feet holders can be easily adjusted.

DORA Helmet Concept Hungary Balรกzs Filczer DORA has been designed for frequent city cyclists. This helmet's l i g h t s c a n b e s e e n f ro m e ve r y direction. DORA helps maintain visibility at junctions or when turning - the front light on the helmet gives you light directed toward the road; moreover you can leave your bike (and its light) behind - and keep lighting your way.

Tube Light Lock South Korea Song, Kyuho / Kim, Edo Chee, Doyoon / Kim, Kyelee A combination of two of the most essential bicycle accessories. By combining the taillight and lock, the designers aimed for the rider's convenience. Moreover, since it's difficult to make out the lock combination numbers in the dark, the designers installed a light source (LED) to make the numbers easy to see.

ALIGHT USA Brian Franson

ALIGHT is a retractable lighting device that attaches to the rear seat of a bicycle. It can be coiled up or extended out. By extending the light to the rear wheel axle, it creates more surface area and a larger visual impact. ALIGHT emits a bright green light, which will turn red when braking and flash yellow when turning left or right. The curve in the extended position allows it to be seen from all angles.

BamGoo Italy Sara Urasini

BamGoo is a system for transporting goods in developing countries. It has a simple structure of natural materials which are easy to find in these countries and can be built by hand using simple tools. It has twelve containers positioned symmetrically in order to use as a stall in village markets. Its two simple holders attached to the bike allow it to be easily detached from the bicycle for carrying around.

Enosa Germany Svenja Richter Enosa is a distributed system designed to obtain and share green electricity. It covers the need for user-friendly interfaces where the users of the new urban space can share their energy, while having their e-bikes safely guarded. The station, placed in urban areas, is the interface between user and network; the hub of the bicycle permits the energy transfer and a transponder identifies the user.

Anyroad: Most Friendly All Terrain Drop-bar Bike for Sports & Fitness

People are looking after their health more than before, and Giant has taken notice. As one of the leading bike companies in the world, Giant realizes how sports cycling can benefit people's health. As a result, it is introducing the “Anyroad” to the market. Anyroad is the friendliest all-terrain drop-bar bike for sports and fitness. In order to help riders efficiently reach the sports cycling efficiency, Anyroad uses all-new riding geometry. The New Ergonomic dropbar helps users with a shorter bar reach and drop. Users can change postures with ease. Another exclusive design is the 4-point brake systems, so no matter what kind of situation occurs, riders can safely brake - easily and instantly. Anyroad is the bike that will help riders enjoy, be safe, and reach the sports efficiency at the same time with cycling. Looking at the company’s latest development in business, Giant came out with a new concept of building a comprehensive and strategic administrative headquarters. The move would create a full-scale control center that would handle centralized and integrated management of principal intangible functions such as design, development, basic technology, marketing, information

Anyroad

management and administrative know-how, and the creation of such a center could help Taiwanese firms move into a new phase of expansion and development as international enterprises. Giant undoubtedly put forth the proposal in the anticipation that such a structure would be necessary in the future, and the ability to predict next-generation needs and demands is evidence of Giant’s foresight. The proposal is also profoundly meaningful in that Giant plans to build the center right at hand in Taiwan, and not in mainland China. Additionally, competitors sponsored by Giant, riding the firm’s carbon bikes, won two major international events this year, the Tour de France and the London Olympics. The anticipatory investments and commitment to carbon bikes demonstrated over the past quarter-century are now paying off, and those achievements are acting as a tailwind propelling Giant forward as well.

Ming Cycle

MTB E-Bikes: Rechargeable While Riding BoothNo.

M0319

Ming Cycle has grown steadily as a reliable OEM bicycle assembler over 20 years. The company supplies brands including GT, Mongoose and Schwinn. Ming Cycle purchased the STRiDA brand in 2007 and started to focus on promoting high valueadded bikes under the brand. At present Ming Cycle exports to 30 countries, with EU-bound shipments (SKD) accounting for 95% of total exports. The company has traditionally focused on “the pursuit of quality rather than quantity”, and now the company is planning to shift from relying on OEM (90% of total at present) by steadily promoting R&D and expanding sales of own brand products. Ming Cycle is also known for its swift rationalization of its Chinese production bases. In 2003, the company closed its three plants in Shenzhen and concentrated production in the Changzhou plant. At the same time the company made the drastic decision to temporarily stop promoting own brand and to shift 100% to OEM business. And in addition, both at the Taiwan HQ and the Changzhou plant the company has strongly promoted its basic manufacturing principle of “Quality First”. All these efforts have provided a platform for the company’s business growth and expansion. The company’s new model range includes an MTB E-bike equipped with

RTS Company will launch new models and new painting technology from June. One of the most popular is the TTR7 Knight Series. This TTR7 frame, using the newest front fork, 1/1/8-1 1/2 headset design(upper small and lower big)and also using the “tube connect tube” technology. Besides, for the seatpost and head tube retainer, RTS uses an integrated carbon fiber technology. A good bike also needs good painting. After countless hours of study and repeated tests on sample frames, RTS engineers have successfully created the TTR7 Matt Transparent Knight. Different from a normal decal/sticker, this painting catches your eyes at first sight - the black surface is overlaid with a transparent RTS Knight logo, and the 3k carbon fiber weave can be seen from the transparent word which makes it seem that the words are inlaid

The assembly line is equipped with Holland Mechanics wheelbuilding and truing robots, and an experienced staff. The company’s operation uses up-to-date processes including ERP systems and across-the-line quality assurance from the frame factory down to the complete bike. The Goldhill group is introducing a complete line-up of bikes from the good old “Standaard Dutch Classic” the bike that’s instantly recognized the world over, to the exciting “Stylish three/365/ sixfive” an aluminum twist on the classic with nifty details such as leather fenders and detailing, but so solidly built it should be used everyday, hence the name. The bikes exclusively use parts and components from various famous Dutch suppliers such as Hesling, AXA, Vredestein, Spanninga, etc., as well as using transmission parts from Shimano, SRAM and tires from Schwalbe. All assembly is done using only stainless steel parts and fittings ensuring a durable and safe product. Goldhill offers the possibility of distributing its own brands, but also offers OEM and ODM production based on customers’ specifications, colors and decaling. So what’s a “Dutch” bike all about? Essentially it’s about a comfortable, upright ride and straight line stability. In The Netherlands, unlike most other countries, bicycles are not just for recreation or a means to get from A to B, but rather a lifestyle that is integrated in the daily routine of every Dutch person. Bike sales in Holland are the highest in the world per head, so they take their bikes seriously. In fact Goldhill believes as comfort bikes go, nobody does it better than the Dutch! Because they use the bike so routinely and for longer rides, it’s extremely important that the bike is

designed to be as comfortable and smooth as possible. This is what makes the Dutch bike geometry so special. There is no other feeling quite like it, not to mention that riding in an upright position that lets you enjoy what is going on all around you while you are on your way. Seatpost with New Cable Routing System BoothNo. LEV Seatpost

I0629

One of the most common problems with dropper posts is the cable routing. Because most designs require the cable to travel up and down with the head of the post, the cable can become entangled in the rider’s foot or the suspension linkage of the bike. Kind Shock (KS) has resolved this issue by utilizing a fixed cable routing system. KS is the only manufacturer that uses a fixed cable in conjunction with an air/ oil system. The result is an infinitely adjustable post with the reliability and function of a fixed cable system. LEV also offers a head that can rotate 360 degrees which allows the cable to be routed anywhere on the frame, which allows it to utilize existing cable guides and facilitates a much cleaner routing. LEV also features many of the design elements that have made the KS post an industry leader. The patented roller clutch system prevents side play at the saddle and adjusts, which means it never needs replacing. The ODI compatible lever allows right or left side orientation and allows it to be used in place of your inner locking collar on an ODI grip. This makes for a super clean installation. The new LEV also shaves over 100 grams from the weight of its predecessor, making it the lightest hydraulic post on the market.

LEV Integra

KS has improved the issue of unsightly cables by utilizing an inter nal cable routing system with LEV Integra. To make the system easy to install KS uses a standard 4mm shifter cable and housing. This is much easier to work with than similar systems that use an oil line and require the system to be filled with oil and then bled. LEV Integra will be standard equipment on many top brands beginning in MY13.

New Wheel Set with Patented Design & All-Rounder Rim BoothNo.

J1117

R&D-oriented rim and wheel maker Alex celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2012. In addition to developing materials such as high-grade aluminum, magnesium, scandium and titanium, the company maintains an integrated production system from the material stage, which helps maintain high price competitiveness. Alex uses 60% of the materials from its in-house output, and produces 90% of rims and wheels in-house. This outstanding cost performance has helped the company maintain a high growth rate of 20-30% in recent years. Below are some of the company’s new products for 2013.

T-Bar Tech Alex’s new T-Series wheels are built using specially developed aluminum rims, ultimate strong “T-Bars” and unique A-Class spokes. Compared to a traditional wheel set, the patented “T-Bar” design enables the perfect fit of rim, spokes and hubs. Through precision CNC drilling ALX750T AXT3 technology, the aluminum spoke rotates freely and makes a non-interference angle for the spokes and hubs. The benefits are higher stiffness and a direct power transmission. The “T-Bar” design provides more lateral stiffness and longitudinal stability. This wheel set tolerates more intense impacts and provides a safer riding experience. The contact area of “T-Bar” is bigger than traditional nipples, extending the life of the wheel. The aluminum parts can be customized to provide consumers with more colorful combinations. Compatible with Tubeless and Tubeless ready systems.

The DSA2s® (Dynamic Spoke Alignment) lacing system significantly improves stiffness, strength and durability. The DSA2s® hub spheres rotate to perfectly align spokes during assembly for unmatched power transfer. The hub and spoke system therefore has no pressure points where failure can occur with stress loads The DSA2s spoke and nipple system has an adjustment range that is wide enough to accommodate 26” to 29” wheels. This means that regardless of rim size, DSA2s wheels can be built with perfectly straight spoke alignment with perfect tension. The total angle range for the system is about 5 degrees, much more than any other system available.

Joule 3 dynamo hub, winner of a 2012 Eurobike Award

M1019a

Joule HG dynamo hub

Award-Winning Dynamo Hub

The Joule 3, the industryʼs smallest and lightest dynamo hub, recently won a coveted Eurobike Award in the Accessories category. Traditional dynamo hubs can be heavy and add lots of drag. The Joule 3 sets a new benchmark because not only is it the smallest and lightest dynamo hub on the market, but itʼs a leader in power output as well. In controlled laboratory tests, the Joule 3 reaches a maximum of 73% efficiency while most topselling hubs on the market reach a maximum of 55%. The higher a hubʼs efficiency, the lower the drag riders will experience. The lightest configuration of the Joule 3 weighs only 355 grams. The

Joule 3 comes in multiple variations — 100 mm OLD/32H/disc for traditional city/trekking/mountain bikes, and 74 mm OLD/20H for smallwheeled recumbents, trikes, and folding bicycles. In addition to the Joule 3, BioLogic also announced that the Joule HG On/Off dynamo hub is ready for the aftermarket. The Joule HG is a dynamo hub that can be switched on or off: in the “on” position, the Joule HG is one of the most efficient hubs on the market and in the “off” position, the magnets are pulled away from the core of the hub so that thereʼs zero extra drag. The Joule HG weighs 656 g with an output of 6V, 2.4W.

Seatpost with Integrated Pump

The PostPump 2.0 seatpost, winner of a 2012 red dot design award

BioLogic’s PostPump 2.0 seatpost is a bicycle seatpost with a high-capacity floor pump integrated inside the post. PostPump 2.0 dramatically improves ease of use and performance compared to the original, winning a 2012 red dot product design award. The PostPump has three important advantages compared to standard hand Pumps. First, it has a much higher stroke capacity so it takes a lot fewer pumps to get your tire inflated. Anyone whose arm has cramped and has had to take a break while pumping a tire can appreciate this. Second it works exactly like a floor pump; you stand and push down to pump — no more kneeling in gravel while you pump. And finally, because the pump is hidden inside your seatpost, itʼs always ready when you need it.

Dynamo Hub Power Regulator

The ReeCharge Dynamo Kit, a device that converts power from a bicycle dynamo hub into power for USB devices. With the ReeCharge Dynamo Kit, you can charge your phone or spare battery while you ride to work. The ReeCharge Dynamo Kit takes the raw power created by the dynamo hub and converts it into the correct voltage for USB devices. Internal electronics also regulate the power, preventing power spikes while riding at high speeds. The ReeCharge Dynamo Kit works with any bicycle dynamo hub and ships with a micro-USB adapter, allowing it to charge any device with a microUSB port. The Dynamo Kit also has a 3.5 mm jack plug and is fully compatible with the BioLogic ReeCharge Case Bracket and ReeCharge PowerPack. BioLogic ReeCharge Dynamo Kit

AMPS Mount Adapter for Bike Mount (iPhone / Android) cases

AMPS Adapters for iPhone and Android Cases

These adapters allow the cases to be attached to a wide-range of AMPS-compatible mounting brackets. There are two versions of the AMPS mount adapter — the AMPS Mount Adapter for Bike Mount and the AMPS Mount Adapter for ReeCharge Case. The Bike Mount version works with the BioLogic Bike Mount for iPhone / Android cases. The ReeCharge Case version works with the BioLogic ReeCharge Case and can also be used with the BioLogic ReeCharge Dynamo Kit to charge the ReeCharge Case directly through a charge port in the base of the adapter.

SPPS 650B is the latest full carbon offering from A-Pro Tech. This all mountain category frame is designed to work with two different linkage systems, which allows users to have the option of using either a pull shock or a push shock. Developed in conjunction with A-Pro’s suspension partner X-fusion, the SPPS 650B possesses kinematics designed to optimize both the shock and suspension system. The action of the pull shock counteracts the downward pedaling force, which means less stress on the frame. Pull shocks are shorter at sag, which means more room for the water bottle cage. With NJW technology, SPPS 650B reaches 1700 gram (raw frame) which is one of the lightest full carbon, 650B, 150mm travel, open model frames available. With full internal cable routing, cold cured chain suck protector, and clean sleek design, this is surely an open model frame at the cutting edge of both technology and market demand.
