Kristen Brown-Glinton appointed as Senior Finance Officer

Mrs Kristen Brown-Glinton has been appointed as the new Senior Finance Officer in the Financial Services and Supplies Management Unit (Treasury) within the Ministry of Finance, Investment, and Trade.

The Office of the Deputy Governor made the announcement on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

Mrs Glinton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Studies from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College and a Master’s in Finance and Investment from the London School of Business and Finance.

She joined the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service in 1999 as a data processor and was later transferred to the newly formed Financial Services Commission (FSC). During her tenure with the FSC, Mrs Glinton served as a revenue officer, examiner/ administrative clerk, senior insurance administrator, and insurance analyst/supervisor within the International Insurance Unit.

In 2018, Mrs Glinton rejoined the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service as a senior tax officer within the Inland Revenue Department and was later seconded to the Budget Department as a budget analyst.

Over the course of her career, Mrs Glinton received extensive training and earned certificates in anti-money laundering and business communication.

In commenting on her appointment, Mrs. Glinton stated:

“I am extremely honored to be appointed as Senior Finance Officer within the Financial Services and Supplies Management Unit (Treasury).

“I take this time to say thank you and that I am grateful for this opportunity. I am confident that I would be able to make a positive contribution in the unit and look forward to working with the various departments.
