Tra’Quard Basden is Youth of the Month
Meet Tra’Quard Basden a grade five student at the Iris Stubbs Primary School on South Caicos. Tra’Quard is an aspiring pilot and a member of the Rebirthing Gentlemen’s Club.
He is very active in sports. Tra’Quard recently won a medal at the National Track and Field Championship. He is a member of the school’s Track Team and Soccer Team.
Tra’Quard is an up-and-coming musician. He displays his love for music daily at school. He is the Rake and Scrape band leader and is currently playing the drums and keyboard at his local church. A very talented young man who involves himself in all facets of his school life.
He is a well-rounded student who has represented his school at various events on Providenciales. Recently, he joined the Cultural Group as a drummer during the
Musical Night of Excellency and Regatta. He was chosen as the student representative for the ‘Greening Our Schools’ Initiative.
Tra’Quard was given the opportunity to join the DDME at the recent visit of the Hurricane Hunter aircraft to Providenciales. This opportunity cemented his decision to become a pilot in the future.
He believes that a good education can help him to create a better future. He is a very funloving person who is loved by his peers.
He is also very responsible and displays great leadership qualities. He will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.
