Dock Yard man killed in major highway pile-up

Thirty-four-year-old Jason Alexander Robinson is the territory’s first road fatality for the year, after colliding with several vehicles along Leeward Highway. Police reported that around 12 noon, on May 1, officers responded to the scene after calls were received by 911 operators.

Investigations reveal that a silver Toyota Altezza, driven by Robinson was proceeding on the westbound lane along the Leeward Highway, in the vicinity of FortisTCI, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with another vehicle.

The silver Altezza crossed the median and collided with two other vehicles including a truck.

The victim was rushed to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre where he was treated for several injuries sustained from the accident. Robinson, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries the following day, May 2, at around 5:30 am.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit is continuing investigations.
