Jamestown Cup Day is country horse racing at its best!

Jamestown’s big October long weekend wraps up with SA’s best one day agricultural show.
Start the day early - you’ll need plenty of time! See the horses in action, a young farmer’s challenge, sheep shearers in action and judging of prize cattle, sheep, chickens and pigeons.
Enjoy your favourite show treats, local wines and produce, and browse plants, clothing, quilting, scrapbooking, cut flowers, cooking and more.
Enjoy the carnival atmosphere in the fun-filled side show alley and don’t miss the fashion parades as well as colourful childrens’ entertainment.
Wind down and enjoy light entertainment at the renowned Roundhouse bar at the end of the day.

When the date for the 2017 Ram ‘n’ Ewe Rural Ball is released, lock it into your diary.
Jamestown’s biggest party night of the year attracts revellers from all areas of rural SA, as well as Adelaide and interstate.
Dance along to live music in the big shed, or step outside into the alfresco bar for some quieter moments.
While for most, the ball is just a great night out, for others, it’s a serious opportunity to find romance. JAMESTOWN MURAL FESTIVAL
Chat with artists from around Australia as they paint giant artworks during the annual Jamestown Mural Festival.
Artists gather at the eastern end of Ayr St and spend four days creating spectacular three metre long themed murals and compete for a cash prize.
The artists love interacting with locals and visitors alike.
Enjoy the festivities on the final afternoon when it’s ‘brushes down’ and the judges make their decision.

The pageant parade begins late afternoon. Floats bursting with colour and energy will make their way around the main street.
Of course, the most popular man in the pageant parade is Father Christmas and you can visit him after the pageant at the Magic Cave (in the Glasgow House basement, see page 9).

Whether you are at the top of your game or just enjoy the social side of tennis, the Jamestown Easter Tennis Tournament is for you.
People come from all over the state to play on the magnificent lawn courts at Jamestown, with a raft of open, junior and veteran divisions.
Great tennis is complemented by fun family entertainment and delicious meals, a licensed bar, plus great coffee and cake.
