Cyrtostachys Renda - Red Sealing Wax Palm - Cau Bẹ Đỏ Family: Arecaceae

Cyrtostachys renda is a slender multistemmed, slow-growing, clustering palm tree. This palm is native to the islands of Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia and has become a popular ornamental plant exported to many tropical regions around the world. It is generally grown for its brightly colored and unusual foliage and it is considered as a plant in high demand for gardening and a landscaping projects.

Height: 5 - 8m Crown diameter: 3 - 5m Tall round trunk. It has a scarlet to bright red colored crownshaft and leaf sheath.

This palm represents a monotypic genus from northern Australia. The common name comes from the hard black “wood” at the center of the trunk that was used to make spears by the aborigines. Roystonea regia, commonly known as the Cuban royal palm or the Florida royal palm, is a species of palm that is native to Mexico, parts of Central America and the Caribbean, and southern Florida. A large and attractive palm, it has been planted throughout the tropics and subtropics as an ornamental tree. Phoenix Sylvestris, also known as silver date palm, Indian date, sugar date palm or wild date palm, common, wild or cultivated, in the plains of India and Pakistan.
