Bell County Master Gardeners (BCMGA) host free seminars at the 2023 Home & Garden Show

The Bell County Master Gardeners will again be a team player with the Temple Area Builders Association. BCMGA members will host an educational booth and present a series of free educational seminars on Saturday February 25th at the Bell County Expo Center during the 2023 TABA Home and Garden Show.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Master Gardener’s booth at any time during the show if they have gardening questions or need assistance in solving gardening problems. In addition to the free seminars, propagating techniques will be highlighted.

The free seminars will be held in Building C. The topics and time of each seminar are listed below. The speakers are trained members/ specialists of the BCMGA Speakers Bureau.

Saturday - February 25th

11:00 AM -Water Wise with Earth Kind Plants

12:00 PM - Drought Tolerant Native Plants

1:00 PM - Rainwater Conservation & Harvesting

2:00 PM - Save Water Growing Succulents

3:00 PM - Drip Irrigation for the Home Gardener

Masters Gardeners are again sponsoring Kids Zone booths during the Home and Garden Show. Master Gardeners are committed to helping young people become good gardeners and good citizens so they can make a positive contribution to their community, school and family.

Master Gardeners also provide Outreach and

Community Educational seminars throughout the year for Bell County clubs, schools, and organizations. Speakers provide information on Herbs, Propagation of Plants, Butterfly Gardening, Poisonous Plants, Composting, Drip Irrigation, Earth Landscaping, Vegetable Gardening, Fruit Production, Container Gardening, Fire Ant/Insect management, Pest Management, Invasive Plants, Making Your Own Rain Barrel, Native Plants, Oak Wilt/Tree Diseases, Tree & Shrub Pruning, Raised Bed Gardening, Soil Preparation, and Superstar Plants.
