The answer is in the quality of their watches. They're renowned for their handcrafted beautiful timepieces. It's like when people think of cars, they think of Germany, due to their high quality luxury cars that last. This kind of ideology behind associating a country to the manufacturing of a specific thing is well known. So much that you can probably associate every country with being famous for something. Should I set you a challenge? Which country do you think of when you are given the word chocolate? I rest my case, so let's get back to the topic of watches, and to be more specific the stylish, modern and uniqueness of Swatches.

So what is Swatch? Swatch is a company that was founded in Switzerland in the 1980s. The company’s goal was to make analogue watches popular again. More specifically, they wanted to open the market of high quality handmade luxury analogue watches to a broader range of people. To do this they had to come up with unique designs, stylish concepts and of course, reduce the cost of manufacturing. By doing so the watches would be bought by people who wouldn't normally buy an expensive analogue watch. Did it work? Yes, Swatch is famous around the world for their low cost and stylish watches. So, has the renowned high quality Swiss watch been replaced by low cost plastic watches? No, not at all. The watches are still of the highest Swiss manufacturing quality. The only difference is the materials used to produce the watch.
FOOD – FASHION – ART – STYLE
By building their watches around a plastic model, they cut the costs exponentially. Switzerland is smart enough to know what their low end market would want and be willing to pay for. They want a unique, stylish, artistic watch. One that not a lot of people would be wearing. The major plug for this is the art part. Many artists get behind the Swiss company, producing an endless supply of unique and stunning designs. Just see the photo below, the designs below doesn’t even make a dent into the amount of designs available.

So, can Swatch keep up with the latest technology, like solar, motion, wave powered watches? Yes, they designed their own mechanically winding automatic system, specifically to tackle this challenge. They designed and built a unique system which winds the watch automatically, with every movement of your arm. Of course, they also have the traditional winder on the side of their watches.
What I found really special with the watch that I bought, the Sistem 51 Swatch. It allows you to see into the back of the watch, showing all the mechanical genius behind the watch. It's quite satisfying to watch the Sistem 51 spin and self-wind the watch.

With technology aside, the biggest selling point for me was the unique, stylish and even artistic designs behind the Swatch watches. I personally love art, it's my passion, so it was easy to choose a Swatch watch that suited my style. I personally went with this one, because I love the contrast between the turquoise and orange, not to mention the bold Asian rising sun design. This 'Rising Sun' design can be seen on the back of the Swatch watch and also on the box that it comes in. My final thoughts about Swatch, watches, and specifically the Sistem 51 watch that I bought, has to be about the comfort and durability. I am very active and sporty, especially basketball, inline skating etc. I don't particularly swim often, but if I did, it's shower proof and totally waterproof up to 30m. This watch has certainly kept in a good condition for the last 2 years.
The only thing I noticed is the paint wearing slightly on the outer dial area. I also love how the watch strap is indented, which allows your wrist to breath and have more freedom. Not to mention, it stops your strap from becoming smelly. So, if you're thinking about getting a watch, and want something to show your style and personality, why not check out a Swatch watch, I don't think you will be disappointed with Swiss timepieces.

Everyone, including myself, was crazy for the color, and this is still the case. I received the watch as a gift. At first glance, I noticed that it is not completely rose gold. It's more like gold. I have to say I was quite disappointed, but it still matches my skin tone and still looks perfect, so I fell in love with it immediately.
Recently, I noticed another pair of watches from their website. One is the Roxy Watch 36MM( white ). If you ask me, what is trending now or how to look more stylish? Well, here is the tip, dress whole white or black. In my opinion, if you are going to dress in the style that I am talking about, then, you have to put on some accessories. Casio Baby-G Watch

This watch also has a mixture of pink, yellow, and mint green dials, which makes it look really colorful. Casio watches have many functions to them, they have shock resistance, world time, water resistance, and a light. For me, I think this is a watch that combines functionality and great design. Baby-G Watches are a subsidiary company of Casio, and it has continued G-Shock's idea of being"Tough" by designing the first electronic watch for women. Baby-G has always payed close attention to fashion, music, arts, sports, and other cultural areas, which gives them a lot of inspiration. Integrating various elements from different young cultures, helps them create suitable Baby-G's for different girl's personalities. Many people think that the only way to be fashionable is by the clothing that you wear, but actually there are many other ways to express it, like wearing watches. Baby G is a watch company that I like and they create beautiful yet enchanting watches for young girls. The watch that I wear is the white Baby-G BGA-1601, but it also comes in black and rose gold (I think). I like the white one because it can be worn without choosing a specific dress color as the base color.
The other functions are basically the same as the watch I have right now, but some parts of the design are different. The dials have a pink color, which makes it very colorful. It also has an automatic calendar up to year 2099. Another cool thing to this watch is that it has a tide chart (specific date period to the temporal tide level, showing the next 12 hours tide changes).
This watch is about 4,300 NT and I think it's a reasonable price. Overall, I think this is a brilliant watch, not only because it has so many different functions, but also because it's really suitable for many different kinds of girls.
The Casio Baby-G watches are really cute and style, they’re also really comfortable
If there is a chance to buy another watch, I would want to buy the white watch from the "Beach Color" series: BGA-180 BE. This watch also comes in a blue color, but I prefer white because I think it's more my style. The reason why I really want this watch is because it has a really unique function, which is that is can measure the temperature. I think this is really cool because most watches, including the one that I am wearing now, doesn't have this function. This watch can measure temperature from -10~60°C (14~140 °F).
