Music Review – My Favorite Singer (Adele) Article by: Nina https://a060925.wixsite.com/website
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is an English singer and songwriter. Adele was born in Northern London, England, on May 5th, 1988. After graduating from the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in 2006, Adele was given a recording contract by XL Recordings after a friend posted her demo on Myspace in the same year. In 2007, she received the Brit Awards "Critics' Choice" award and won the BBC Sound of 2008 poll.
Her first song, "Hometown Glory", written when she was 16 and is based on her home suburb of West Norwood in London. An appearance she made on Saturday Night Live in late 2008 boosted her career in the US. At the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009, Adele received the awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and she released her second studio album, 21, in 2011.
"I don't make music for eyes. I make music for ears."
In 2012, she gained a record-tying six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year; two Brit Awards, including British Album of the Year, and three American Music Awards. The album has been certified 16 times platinum in the UK, and is overall the fourth best-selling album in the nation. In the US, it has held the top position longer than any album since 1985, and is certified diamond. The album has sold over 31 million copies.

Why do I love Adele? The reason I really like her because her voice sounds very different from other pop stars. There is no rap breakdown, and the instruments she uses are recognizable. “What’s been going on in the world of music?” she recently was asked by an interviewer sent from Rolling Stone. She said that she isn't paying attention to the greater music world, she just goes by her own style. Not only by having a unique voice, she also puts her feeling into the songs.

2. "Someone like you" was written by Adele and Dan Wilson also in her second studio album, 21. The song was inspired by a broken relationship, and lyrically speaks of Adele's coming to terms with it. Following a well-received performance of the song at the 2011 Brit Awards, "Someone like You" became Adele's first number-one single in the UK and it stayed on the top of the chart for five weeks.
3. "Hello" is a song released on 23 October 2015 by XL Recordings as the lead single from her third studio album, 25. "Hello" reached number one in almost every country it charted in, including the United Kingdom, where it became her second UK number-one single, following "Someone like you", and has the largest opening week sales in three years.
My favorite songs are: 1. "Rolling in the deep" is a song recorded on her second studio album, 21. The singer herself describes it as a "dark blues-y gospel disco tune". It was Adele's first number-one song in the United States, reaching the top spot on many Billboard charts.
"I have insecurities of course, but I don't hang out with anyone who points them out to me."
"I can't write another breakup record. That would be a real cliche."
