2021–22 Spring Representative Assembly Unfinished Annual General Meeting Business Costing Information Resolution 113 (page 13)—Bargaining The estimated cost to form a task force is between $16,000 to $20,000. This includes travel, accommodation, per diems, and TTOC costs for five members. Resolution 116 (page 14)—Finance The estimated cost for pet boarding to be added as a reimbursable expense is $15,000 to $30,000. This based on 58% of Canadian households owning at least one dog or a cat1. It is difficult to predict how many members will submit a claim for pet boarding. However, for the purposes of this calculation, it is assumed that about 5% of members engaged in BCTF business will claim for that an average daily pet boarding cost of $30 to $50 per day. Resolution 119 (page 8)—Organization of the BCTF The estimated cost to amend Procedure 25.D.14—1.b. is $6,000 to $8,000. The cost includes accommodations, per diems, and TTOC costs for two additional members in the Representative Assembly Agenda Committee. Resolution 122 (page 23)—Organization of the BCTF The estimated cost to establish a Political Action Contacts Advisory Committee is between $60,000 to $70,000. This includes travel, accommodation, per diems, and TTOC costs for up to three two-day meetings for approximately $25,000 to $30,000. depending on the amount of printing, advertising or events that are envisioned: 1. A multipage brochure costs approximately $15,000 for 50,000 copies. 2. One-page folded colour brochures can be created at a cost of approximately $3,000 for 5,000 copies. 3. Items such as inclusion in existing BCTF publications like Teacher Magazine, BCTF News, eblasts, and livestreams are at no cost. 4. More information is required on potential impact on school mailings if printed materials are sent out.
