Really learn bass. Your time. Your place. Your pace.

welcome you to Teach Me Bass Guitar, the most effective, comprehensive, and entertaining self-paced bass guitar instruction anywhere. We've set the stage at a 50s-style blues club called Chateau Groove, and we've structured lessons to give you plenty of time to play with an awesome band of some of Nashville's finest studio musicians. Now these are real jam sessions, designed to work your chops. But those are just some of the reasons you're really going to learn with Teach Me Bass Guitar. There's plenty more. For example, within each lesson we've created real-time, onscreen midi graphics that let you see what Roy is playing, without his fingers getting in the way. You can loop these graphics at any time and play them back at varying speeds until you get them under your fingers. Or until the neighbors call the cops. If you don't feel like interrupting the lesson to practice, no problem all the loops in the lesson can be accessed from the DVD menu, so you can hit them whenever you like. Now a little about Roy Vogt. He received the first masters in music in electric bass degree ever awarded, and he's one of the most respected educators in the international bass community, and his skills have been in demand by leading producers and artists in the studio, on tour, and in the classroom for over thirty years. If you're about to pick up the bass for the first time, you're in great hands. Roy wll teach you everything you need to know to be as good as you want to be. And, if you've been playing bass for years, well, old dog, you're about to learn some new tricks.

Roy will start each lesson with a brief summary of what you're going to cover, followed by a quick warm up just to get you ready. After the lesson and practice sessions comes my favorite part. Roy takes you to the stage where you get to practice your newly acquired riffs with a band of Nashville studio musicians. And we've added a nice feature that allows you to play through the songs at several tempos with, or without Roy. Each lesson ends with a cool-down stretches, and a few words of encouragement from Roy. It's that easy. But that's not all. The Learning Dock has created a bass community website hosted by Roy himself, where you can ask him questions directly, and even upload your own video, .wav or .aiff files to show how your skills have improved. Hey, and check this out, membership is free with your purchase of Teach Me Bass Guitar. We've worked hard to bring you this course, and can't wait to hear your comments, share in your progress, and share in your excitement as you learn to control the thunder. If you stick with the program, and master the skills Roy outlines in his lessons, which I know you will, you'll be among the best there is. It's all yours Roy. Take it away!
