division feature: energy systems
Adam Scott, Head of our Energy Systems division, has been instrumental in leading the charge on our beautifully crafted electrical board. He encourages his team to go the extra mile when creating new wires, making a neat and efficient setup of electrical components, and working to design the electrical board despite constant design changes and new ideas popping up. Adam has been an important figure in keeping everyone on task and getting things done.
As the Design team continues working away designing and building the robot, Energy Systems is also working tirelessly to get the robot’s electrical board prepared. Every season Energy Systems has the difficult task of assembling and constructing the electrical board on the robot. The difficult challenge for this division is the limited amount of space they are given every year to construct the electrical board. This year’s game has provided an incredibly difficult challenge to the Energy Systems team, it will most likely be the most complicated board the team has ever created. This year Energy Systems is working to find room for everything; with all the large components that we haven’t used in the past the team has decided that it will be necessary for a second level in the electrical board. They continue to communicate with the Programming and Design teams while building the electrical board. Even with the tough constraints they have been given the team believes they are up to the task.
One of the most active members of the Energy Systems team, David Ferris has also been very important in the development of the 2013 electrical board. Known as a team member whose hands are always busy, whether it be wiring electrical components, flicking Frisbee discs, or performing mind-blowing card tricks, David has proved to be an invaluable team member thus far and looks to be even more promising in the future. Matthew Lang is a very talented member of the team; his area of expertise is not only limited to his passion for wiring the robot, but also for driving it. He will be this year’s robot operator, right the heat of action as we strive for robotic excellence.

this year’s spirit gear This year, the newly formed Spirit Team: Jordan Grant(Head) and Jonathan Pearce (Assistant) have worked to introduce two new items into our spirit lineup, the forest green hoodie and a snapback with our embroidered logo. Since last year, the jersey has been a team staple for proudly representing our school and our team. The smart looking collar combined with the name on the back make it one of the most unique jerseys in the entire school. The hoodie, designed by Jacob Kachura,
prominently displays 610 on the front as well as a white maple leaf. The hat, displays a 610 on the front as well as the robotics coyote logo.
