OBJECTIVES OF SAMPLING The main objectives of sampling are to: 1) ESTABLISH A RELATIONSHIP, 2) GET THE PRODUCT ON THEIR SKIN and 3) GET THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION. Every conversation and interaction with someone about Soul Purpose, allows you to build and further a relationship with them. Many experts in the direct selling industry


agree that this is the single most important aspect of building a successful business. So always be personable and present. Listen for verbal clues that will help you understand how you can help your potential customer with their product needs and through the business opportunity. We are blessed to have products in several categories and through active listening, you'll find it easy to identify which products to lead with...  If they talk about personal wellness, natural products, pampering themselves, rejuvenation, etc...LEAD WITH THE SOUL PURPOSE PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS!  If they talk about skin care and/or make-up...LEAD WITH THE BOTANICAL SPA FACIAL PRODUCTS & MINERAL MAKE-UP.  If they talk about nutrition, supplements, wellness, antioxidants, immune system, general health issues, etc...LEAD WITH THE YOUNGEVITY NUTRITIONALS. CREATING A SOUL PURPOSE PRODUCT EXPERIENCE Creating a Soul Purpose product experience takes only a minute or two, but is absolutely vital to help others appreciate the value and importance of the Soul Purpose products. So resist the urge to take the easy way out by just giving someone a sample and hoping they'll call you. Take charge of your success by getting the product on their hands and getting their information. STEP 1: After introducing yourself, ask if they would like to experience a great new, natural product line by Soul Purpose. STEP 2: Ask what type of fragrance they would normally choose, floral or fruity. If they say fruity, you should share MANGO. If they say floral, share BRAZILIAN JACKFRUIT. For male customers, share HOLLYWOOD FRESH. (Naturally, you'd only ask the question if you have the appropriate sample on hand to share.) STEP 3: Take out your hand sanitizer and put a little in your hands as well as the customer. The Pureworks sanitizer from Youngevity is great because it is natural and non-drying. This step responds to any concerns the client may have regarding cleanliness and germs. STEP 4: Now, take out a fresh sample and spatula. Allow the customer to smell the fragrance to ensure they like it before you put it on their skin. STEP 5: Use the spatula to take a little of the product from the sample jar and put it in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together to WARM the product. (HINT: Don't use too much product as your client may be turned off by it appearing too oily or greasy on their skin. Remember you can always add more if needed.) STEP 6: Gently take one of their hands into yours and massage the product into their skin. Be sure to gently work the product into their palm muscles, down and in between their fingers and into their cuticles.


STEP 7: Ask them to compare the hand you just massaged with their other hand. Encourage them to smell how the fragance reacts to their body chemistry as well. Point out how smooth and luxurious their hand looks. Now do the other hand. STEP 8: Tell them the sample is theirs and ask for their information so that you can follow up and show them the rest of the products. By this time, after talking and massaging their hands, they won't consider you a stranger and will be willing to give you their contact information. STEP 9: After saying goodbye, take a few seconds to make notes on the back of their information card like where you met them, anything you learned about their lifestyle or concerns, desires, frustrations, marital status, children, etc during the exchange. Trust me, if you're sampling enough people, you won't be able to remember everything about each person. The notes you make will be invaluable to you when making followup calls.
