You’ll also have the chance to help local organizations carry out conservation projects. Zanzibar: Turtle Conservation During the summer, you’ll have the opportunity to live in a beachfront bungalow and make a difference in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. In June and October, the temperature in Zanzibar is typically around 25 degrees Celsius. This is the perfect time to visit the island and experience its warm weather. The local organization you’ll be working with is dedicated to preserving the wild turtle populations in the area. As a volunteer, you’ll be able to help rehabilitate and nurse injured sea turtles. In addition, you’ll have the chance to explore the local villages and take in some of the best snorkeling and diving in the region. Zanzibar is known for its beautiful beaches and marine life, and it’s also a
short drive away from Stone Town, which is a must-visit for its arts and crafts market. Costa Rica: Summer Childcare While volunteering in Costa Rica, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impression on the local children. The childcare project that IVHQ is running in the country is the perfect opportunity for individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of others. In addition to being able to help children, you’ll also have the chance to perform various tasks such as hygiene and education. On weekends, you’ll have the option to explore San Jose and travel to other areas. You’ll have the chance to take in some of the country’s best attractions, such as the rainforests, beaches, and volcanoes. One of the most popular activities that you can do is to go white water rafting. South Africa: Summer Wildlife Conservation This new project is located in South Africa’s Kruger National Park, and it’s dedicated to protecting the country’s famous Big 5 animals. While working with the organization, you’ll have the opportunity to live among these animals and participate in various conservation activities. Kruger National Park is known for its beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife. While working with the organization, you’ll have the chance to explore the park and participate in various activities.
