TRUE COLOURS

Printing relies on unswerving commitment We know that by the time your job arrives at the printers you have invested an incredible amount of time, effort and energy into it – in theory, all that’s left to do is turn your brilliant concept into flawless reality. It sounds simple enough, but that’s when things can start to go horribly wrong.

While other printing companies may put your job in the hands of machinists, the only people working at Green and Gold are qualified and experienced craftsmen, so we can ensure that your job will progress smoothly from the moment we see your concept on the drawing board to the day

you’re standing with the finished product in your hands. It may sound a little old school, but we still consider printing a professional craft and we apply our expertise to producing the best outcome you could ever hope for. Printing isn’t just something we do – it’s what we’re passionate about. And we’re absolutely committed to creating the best possible outcome for our clients, every time. Because your printed materials are more than just a job to us – they’re a mark of our dedication to perfection.

You’ll love our passion for printing You know you must be doing something right when the majority of your new business comes through word-of-mouth referrals based on the reputation of your finished product. And what makes it even more satisfying for us is that we’ve chosen to work with the fussiest bunch of clients you could ever imagine: graphic designers. But the truth is that we love working with them – their high standards match ours, and they keep us on the cutting edge of our industry, producing work that sets the benchmark for quality printing. We’re big enough to handle almost any job you can imagine, but we’re also small enough to care about getting every job right. Our focus is building and maintaining personal relationships with our clients,

because that enables us to immerse ourselves in a project and find out exactly what the client wants to see in the finished product. We’re the kind of business where you get to know the people who are working on your projects, and they get to know you. We aren’t focused on winning awards, and the many that we have received both nationally and internationally have come from clients entering the products we’ve produced for them in competitions – most of the time we don’t even know we’re in the running! Awards are nice, but the truth is that we take an award-winning approach to every job, because we believe that every project deserves the same amount of quality and care.

green and proud of it We’ve been green since before it was cool, and we’re proud to be able to implement environmentally friendly initiatives without affecting print quality or your budget. The only thing they will affect is your environmental credentials, which are becoming more and more important in business every day. And if it’s been a

while since you took a good look at environmentally friendly stock, you’re in for a big surprise. We’re dedicated to ensuring that we do our bit to make sure that printing becomes an environmentally sustainable industry, and that means we want to help you do your bit too.

Adrian Blessington, Owner, Green and Gold. Thursday 5am, Newington Rowing Club.

Printing is a craft demanding skill and dedication Look up ‘dedication’ in the dictionary and you’ll find a picture of Adrian at one of the 5.00 am training sessions that allowed him to take his love of rowing to an international level at the 2009 World Masters Games. This kind of dedication is exactly what you want the guy in charge of the company to have – because you know he’s not going to be happy until each and every job is perfect.

The production process entails more than just printing, so we’ve made a point of creating relationships with the best service providers in the industry, from pre-press to embellishment, from binding to packaging, from distribution to international shipping. Our trade finishers work with us to ensure that you get a product of the highest standard, on budget and on time.

Ross Clark, General Manager, Green and Gold. Friday 8pm, Botany Hotel.

A harmonious approach to printing We know that there’s more to life than just printing ‌ but you might be surprised to discover what Ross’s other passion is! On any given night you can find him spinning his drumsticks, at a gig in a pub somewhere in Sydney or interstate, and if you think drumming is a complex art, you should try printing! Every job has varied elements that all need to be combined in exactly the right way to produce something that any client will be proud to call theirs. This extraordinary knack for bringing everything together allows him to bring any project to life without skipping a beat.

MAd about digital

The introduction of digital printing changed a lot of things in the printing world – including Green and Gold! We introduced digital services in 2006, because our clients wanted to be able to come to us for all of their printing needs, including short run and highlycustomised projects that just aren’t suited to the offset process. Combining digital and offset alternatives gives us even greater scope to provide clients with exactly what they want, blending technologies to create great results in the most costeffective way. If you’re wondering how the ‘digital revolution’ could change the way you approach your printed materials, give us a call. We’d love to chat about all of the alternatives with you. Max sheet size 480mm x 330mm

Fay Gibson, Delivery and Distribution Manager, Green and Gold. Saturday 4pm, back garden, Mount Colah.

Her meticulous nature flows through everything she does – from transforming her Mount Colah garden into a fairy paradise to fulfil a child’s fondest dreams, to ensuring that every detail of every project falls into place. In fact, with Fay putting her magic touch on all of your final finishing, sorting and delivery, you can be sure that everything comes together smoothly.

DON’T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT... here’s what some of our happy clients want you to know... It’s been over 15 years that I’ve been printing with Green and Gold and I still rely absolutely on everyone in every section – printing, finishing, cutting, binding, delivery. They all know what I expect, and they always deliver above and beyond. Sometimes I lose track of the number of jobs we have going through at once, but in a whirl of press checks the problems are solved and the results are great. There’s no other printer in Sydney like them.

Quality print and excellent service is the key to our successful relationship with Green and Gold Printing. With clear communication we have a great working relationship which enables us to manage our print material.

Analiese Cairis / Senior Designer Art Gallery of New South Wales

Green and Gold Printing have helped us find some savvy green solutions for our printing needs, which is really important to us as a business.

Green and Gold Printing. Bad name. Great Printers. They’ve hit upon the secret ways to winning the hearts and wallets of designers: They do what is surprisingly rare, they print things. Carefully and beautifully. They invest the time in building a professional, honest relationship. Time that has saved a lot of designers’ bacon. They’ve got that sweet smell of loyalty. They smell better than a mangy old Labrador (mostly). James De Vries / Director De Luxe and Associates

With Green and Gold, we have developed over 15 years a wonderful sustained working partnership built on trust and experience. They consistently deliver quality printing and finishing – no matter what the degree of difficulty is. They go the extra mile, always living up to our high expectations. Annette Harcus / Creative Director Harcus Design

Rodney Elias Raleigh Paper

They also have a great skill of coming up with unique solutions (“I never would have thought of that!”) to help reduce our costs and better manage our printing needs. Without the support of Green and Gold there’s no doubt we would have continued to pay too much for all of our printing! Nicky Surnicky / Reservations Manager BridgeClimb Sydney

Over the years that we’ve worked together, we’ve made some requests that would send lesser printers running for the hills. Adrian has always delivered and often exceeded our expectations. They have a great eye for detail and fare fantastic for the fiddly jobs. Adrian is always accommodating and actually likes working with designers, which is not something you can say about all printers. Paul Garbett / Director Naughtyfish

Leanne Blessington, Director of Sales and Marketing, Green and Gold. Sunday 1pm, Little Jilliby.

A disciplined approach produces beautiful results Leanne’s dedication to perfection means that she won’t settle for anything less than the highest standards, and her understanding and empathetic nature makes her the best possible person to be in charge of client relationships. After spending a lifetime working with horses in every second she could spare, Leanne has become a model of patience and perseverance – and let’s face it: anyone who can tame a 16-hand-high Appaloosa can take on anything the printing world will throw her way!
